My son knows of two things that he can never go wrong with when buying me gifts for the holidays, or birthdays, or just for me being the best mom. (Ok I went too far with that last one.)
Candles and Lipton’s Island Mango and Peach tea are at the top of the list. I got several of both this year. I realize these are not big ticket items, but they are things I use a lot. So practical, yes, but who said gifts can’t be pratical .
When I read Ailsa’s challenge this week, I immediately thought of this photo taken a few days ago. Maybe because it was fresh in my mind. Maybe because I just liked it a lot. Maybe because most of the candles came from my son. I guess I have multiple reasons for chosing it.
Take a look, then just for a minute, close your eyes, smile, and breathe.
Click on the Lipton’s to see multiples of Ailsa’s entries.

Yay! Yum. And *sigh* That boy knows his stuff.
You know it!
Love the way you think, Gemma. Gorgeous candles.
It’s nice when people pay attention and really know what you like. Especially your kids
.
the candles are beautiful and soothing; the tea…. it’s been so long since i’ve used a real tea bag that i looked at that image as if it came from outer space!!!! mangoes are one of my favorite fruits, and i am sure that that tea has an amazing bouquet as well as flavor!
how sweet of your son to give such thoughtful and loving gifts!

I am blessed with a very fine young man for a son.
Wish I could sit down and share a cup with you – leaning over a blank canvas and a box full of acrylics
love the candles with a cup of tea
I am here because I stopped at Polly’s..The Mango-Peach tea sounds good. I am carrying twenty pounds too much and I am 61 ish, soon to be 62. Time to do this but I am such a procrastinator.. Some days I wonder why I blog??? My stats weren’t great but I have made some friends and I doo have fun with photography…
Roberta, well you’ve named most of the good reasons for blogging so if you’re enjoying it, keep it up. The stats, I’ve decided, don’t matter if I’m enjoying myself. If you keep a diary or journal, no one reads it, so I say not much difference here. If people like you, fine. If they haven’t found you yet, give them time. I should have stopped by your blog before replying so I will do the ass-backwards and go there now. Weight wise – ahhhhhhhhhhhh! I wish I knew what to tell you. Only advice is, for starters, persistence and moderation. Good luck
I stopped by both of your blogs, but i could not comment on your blogspot photo blog. Your pictures are – well – I really like your photos, Sunny Smiles
Hi Gemma, I will have to figure that out..I may have to change the format or something.Thank you for letting me know..
