As the sun sets and the battery-powered candles flicker and grow brighter, I sit and wait for the rumble of your car to ease up the drive. I’ve turned on the outside light. I try to check the clock, but it’s just a little too dark. No matter. The time just doesn’t matter. I wait. I’ll always wait.
Happy Valentine’s Day, hon.
Visit Dawn at lingeringvisions for a look through any window… And to all, Happy Valentine’s Day.

Awwww…I must be getting really sentimental in my old age; that gave me a little shudder of romantic delight. Just beautiful.
Thanks, Dawn. I hope you have a love-ly day.
You too
Beautiful photo and thoughts!!

gemma! this is so beautiful and so sweet! happy valentine’s day! z
Thanks, z. I’m ver lucky. I have quite the hunk of a valentine.
So pretty. I love it. I’d always wait, too, but not in the dark. Dark scares me. The car that drives up at my house would certainly be driven by a homicidal maniac with a trunk full of dead squirrels.
You are too funny.
Beautiful capture!
Thanks, Cee.
Happy Valentines Day
Back atcha!
