OCEAN CITY, NEW JERSEY
When I think of breathtaking, I think of beauty – beyond stunning. Sunrises, sunsets, beautiful women, nature, cosmic events, and if you’re a fan of Seinfeld like I am, you think of a certain Seinfeld episode. But I digress.
So I decided to play around with the word a bit and show you a little bit of “take your breath away”. Same thing? I don’t know, but I’m short on beauty beyond stunning right now so…
Sometimes a little ride on a ferris wheel can take your breath away, especially if there’s a stop at the top while directly below someone exits, stage left.
Although this is one of my favorites, the log flume can be a little hair-raising, taking your breath away and soaking you to the bone. Yahoooooooo!
If you look closely to the right on the platform, you’ll see a few flip flops that either got left behind or came flying off. I don’t know which. This is one of my step-son’s favorite rides. Maybe because it takes his breath away 🙂 .
I don’t know about you, but these spinning things are not my cup of tea. I’ll take a breathtaking ride on the biggest, baddest roller coaster out there before I get caught on one of these babies!
And finally, I haven’t yet made this a point of interest in my blogging but I love, Love, LOVE my car. It’s a black 2003 VW convertible beetle. So, now that you know this tidbit of information, you’ll know why I am posting a photo of this vehicle which we found parked INSIDE a yogurt shop. This, to me, is BREATHTAKING!
Thanks to IslandTraveler for posting a new challenge. Visit his site for more of what’s
I hate rides, but I LOVE Seinfeld. Hilarious! Great shots as always. Maybe the next challenge will be Shrinkage!
You are hysterical! But YUCK!
A post that is fun, thrilling and “breathtaking!” The last time I rode the Ferris Wheel, I was breathless every time it stops just like when you wrote, “Sometimes a little ride on a ferris wheel can take your breath away, especially if there’s a stop at the top .” Then my son would be moving back and forth which I swear made my heart bound from nervousness. Then last month, we went to Pleasure Pier and we rode the Rock N’ Rollin. Oh, wow, I got nauseaus and dizzy. But I would ride them again for my son. He really loves these rides and what makes him happy , makes me happy. Thanks for sharing a truly “breathtaking” post. Best wishes to you and your family.
Sounds lie you’ve had some fun with these ropes of places. Anything for our children, huh? What we wouldn’t do to put a smile of their faces. Thanks for putting the challenge out there. 🙂

Love Ocean City, MD. Been there many times! Unfortunately, the gulf coast does not have comparable boardwalk. However, the beaches are nicer and the water a lot warmer. Have a great day!
Never been to OC, MD but hope to some day. You should give OC, NJ a shot. With these incredible heat spells, we are even starting to have some warm waters, sooner than expected. Phew! HOT!
Keep cool and thanks for the visit, David. Love your photos!

Congratulations on the well-deserved recognition for this post! Your great images transported me decades into the past when I last rode a breathtaking ride!
Hope you enjoyed some breathtaking memories. That was my intention. 🙂 thanks for stopping by.
I looove this post! I love rides… and those VWs are sp cooool!
*so cool, i mean 🙂
I actually like the car better than any of the rides 🙂
These photos remind me so much of my family’s trip to the Jersey shore. We’d go every Memorial Day, to Wildwood. What fun!
If you’re lucky enough to be at the beach, you’re lucky enough. Found thatbon a T-shirt on the board walk 🙂
