I knew when I read the word “bay” that I was going to really find this challenge to be a true challenge. These shots are all captured in Brigantine, NJ and are apparently the only “bay” shots I have. Still, I hope you enjoy, and I hope I have done Jake’s challenge, @ jakesprinters, some justice.

Sunset on Steelman Bay (night photo taken with iPhone and we all know about iPhones and night shots) 😦

THANKS FOR VISITING!
I laughed at the pirate on a good day – even then he had half a leg and a hand missing. But woe to any pirate who defies a hurricane – he might have to hang on to his head with his hook. Lol. I’m surprised the head didn’t wash out to sea.
He’s not only a pirate, he’s a trooper! 😉
To bay or not to bay- you’re still first and fabulous with me, Gem!
Oh my! Thanks, Jo. I’m blushing with pride. 😉
Very interesting
🙂
My parents used to live on Barnegat Bay. They moved to Florida many years ago, but I recently learned their Bay house was destroyed by Sandy. I would never have expected the devastation to be so severe on the mainland side of the bay.
It was a horrendous storm! And scary.
Thank goodness you put pirate picture #3. I’m looking at each picture one by one, thinking, “Hmmm. That guy is really dressed to the pirate nines. He’s awesome!” and then “Why the heck would this mental case go out dressed like a pirate even in a flood? He’s deranged!” But OK. So, it’s a STATUE of a pirate. I may need to get my eyes examined, or get glasses for my glasses……
Next time your down we’ll visit. He’s still out there, head in hand 😉
Love the blue chairs too – they really give a focus to the photo.
Thanks, Colline. I do love when they come out in the warmer weather. 🙂
That was the execution ritual for a pirate, wasn’t it? Staked it until three tides had washed over him.
But I didn’t know it was quite so current —-
Staked OUT, that is.
Gotcha!
Poor guy. Luckily there’s another, maybe a brother, in one of the restaurants in town. He doesn’t look so – ah – headless.
I can never get enough of Bay and water images. I’m glad your shared them especially the first picture. Beautiful, fun, serene.
I know what you mean, IT. 🙂
The bay is good. I like the blue chairs!
They are my favorite too. 🙂
Thanks for the visit, Bente.
would like to sit on the blue chairs!
Haha. So would I 😉
Great selection of bay photos, Gemma. That poor pirate really has been through the wars, hasn’t he? 😉 That presidential motorcade is impressive. Good capture. I also like to sit on one of those blue chairs.
Thanks, ad. I think that poor fella’s pillaging and plundering days are over. A nice sit down in the sun would do me a world of good right about now. ;-). You’ll get a chance to rest in your own beach chairs back home. 😀
I like the blue chairs too. The pirate had a terrible battle…
Love the sunset shot!
Thanks, Amy.
That poor guy’s hurtin’ and definitely seen better days.
Glad you popped by. 🙂
Wonderful images of bay Gemma ,Thanks for sharing this I love it 🙂
My pleasure, friend.
Sitting on the dock of the bay ….. on a good day mind 🙂
Not surprised Pirate lost his head over that hurricane .
To remaining standing on his wooden leg . Well … that’s pure skill .
😀
