SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2013 WEEK 46

♪♫♪♪♫♪ Getting to know you. Getting to know all about you ♪♫♪♪♫♪

It’s Share Your World time again.  Here goes nothing…

Name one thing not many people know about you.

I use to smoke for over 25 years.  No more.

What is set as the background on your computer?

Some funky, psychedelic type design.  Surprise!

Have you ever gone scuba diving? If you haven’t, would you want to?

Never have.  But if I could swim, I’d scuba my brains out! But, Alas poor Yorick…  😦

What made you smile today?

We received a text from our son in Georgia.  Apparently our grandson has decided to become an elf.  We support him in his decision.  Mainly because he is so dang cute.  This made me smile – big!

I wish we could see them for the holidays.  Merry Christmas kiddies. ;-).  I’d love to share my world up close and personal. But in the meantime, I hope Santa is good to y’all.

TRAVEL THEME – WINTER

In years gone by, winter brought visions of sugar plums and brilliantly white snowy days, like these.

With icicles nearly a yard long.

With icicles nearly a yard long.

And decks dangerously weighed down.

And decks covered in white.

And trees totally bogged down and what might look like down!

Trees totally bogged down with what might look like down!

And views of the street - What street?!

And views of the street – What street?!

But this year, with the temperatures soaring to nearly 70 degrees, I would never have know it was winter.  No coats, nearly thinking I might wear my sandals, there were no signs of the Old Man at all.

Ah, but I did have a reminder of the first day, though not by the weather.  My mom’s birthday falls of that day, so I didn’t need a snowfall to tell me it was December 21.

Happy Birthday, momma.  Ti amo, cara.
