A trip to the airport will usually take you to the baggage claim. That thing is all shiny and silver – like this:
And then there’s the silver that you look for in the “lining” when it’s raining cats and dogs, and you’re wishing that the sun would shine. That silvery gray blanket of clouds and rain might look a little like this:
So you might hunker down and pull out a little silver(ware) to suck down some comfort food, in case that silver lining is taking too dang long. It might look a little like this:
When the weather breaks, maybe you can take a ride in a little something that has a few silvery bits that look like this:
You might stop somewhere for a cup o’ joe and shop in a store that has a mannequin that shines all pretty and silver, like this:
No matter where you are or what you’re doing, I hope you find your silver lining today.
Shine on…

Like all the pictures but love the engine 🙂
You would love the car show here every Thursday (in the warmer weather). 😉
Looking for the silver lining in the clouds today … none .. 😦 .. may have to eat cake 🙂
Great pics Gemma .
Cake is good too 😉
Stunning take on the challenge Gemma! Great shots hon! 😀
Thanks, Sonel. Wishing you silver linings. 🙂
That first photo make me sooooo hungry to travel. The smell of diesel does the same thing…
I feel that way whenever I pass a Cracker Barrel. Every time we drive south we hit one or two. So not healthy but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do! 🙂
Ha! The aluminum foil mannequin is hilarious. Ditto her pet lion. What the heck kind of store is that? Plus what’s the snack? It looks like whipped cream and the insides of Good n Plenty!
It’s a consignment place. One of my ex-student’s mom owns it.
The snack is pudding and the topping topping the cool whip is chocolate jimmies. All very healthy. LOL
Good and Plenty! I LOVE those! Next time. 😉
Yum. But those sprinkles are huge! Sprinkles are my favorite food.
It’s the angle. 😀
Love the picture through the rain-soaked windscreen (windshield, I should say!!!), G, but I’d probably exclude the car and so make it more abstract – but then it wouldn’t be doing the job its doing here. The engine is impressive too.
Hope you’re good – I hear you’re being assaulted by piles of snow again – I prescribe copious red wine infusions and proscribe going out! Take care, keep warm! A xxx
It is so outrageously COLD! Wine is at the ready, sir!
Thanks for the compliments and tips, Adrian. Always welcomed. 🙂
Stunning and wonderful images. I’m into comfort food too. Mostly they’re sweets, desserts and coffee with low fat whipped cream sprinkled with sugar cinnamon. Have a great week!
Low fat whipped cream in coffee? Now I’ll need to try that in my java. 😉
A really fun take on the challenge, Gemma. Love that silver mannequin, and the silver spoon filled with chocolate brownie and cream, would fit well in my mouth. 🙂
Oh, ad! Your desserts are to die for. Put my store bought to shame. But then, I’m no cooker. 😉
I haven’t mde a dessert since we arrived in Florida, but that will change when I get back to South Africa, and start visiting my sister for Sunday lunch. 🙂
😀 go for it!
