A glorious day.
Clouds are paintbrushed onto a blue sky.
Bare branches are reaching for the sun.
A chill clings persistently to the air, but the sun’s being much more cooperative than it has in a while.
We walk, hand in hand, taking in this glorious day.
Look. Up in the sky. A bird? A plane? Superman???? No!
At first glance, we think it’s a nest.
But a closer look, and from a different perspective, and …
Spring is just around the corner! Hang in. I swear. Better days are coming.

Was it wasps or swallows Gemma? Great shot!
Me thinks wasps. 🙂
Thanks, Kathryn.
Beehive! Yikes! From a different perspective, Cupcake will see it as lunch. She’s weird that way – obsessed with a piece of beehive that fell out of a tree back by the garages.
I think if they’re on the ground, and in pieces to boot, they are safe to toss around. Tell sweet Cupcake to go for it!
welcome back Gemma, missed you. Were you hibernating? 🙂 Looks like a wasp nest. Beautiful shot, so glad you’re seeing blue skies again.
Good to be sneaking back. And yes, blue skies rather than gray. Makes most things easier to deal with.
Thanks for stopping by, J&M.
It’s very nice to hear your voice here at wordpess! (: Yesterday was very much a blue sky kind of day and today was a gardening kind..
Thanks, Roberta. Today, blue skies, not so much. But it’s ok. It’s gonna get better. 😉
So good to see you again, Gemma. I kept popping over to see if you’d posted and I’d missed it. That ‘nest’ probably isn’t full of sweet baby birdies. 😕 Good one for the challenge. 🙂
Slow and steady, ad. I’ve missed quite a few posts, but making it all up would be too crazy. Glad to be participating and good to see you too. 😉
Love these shots. And I like the suggestion of hope for spring too 🙂
Come on SPRING!!!
😉
Thanks, Colline.
Yes, better days are coming! Very good to see you back, Gem! Adrian xxx
Thanks. Good to be back, A.

My first thought is a nest, too:)
Well it was way up there, but closer inspection produced one scary hive! Thanks for the visit, Aian. 🙂
Isn’t that an amazing structure Gemma ! I doubt anything was going to disturb them right up there 😉
Lovely to see you back x
Lovely to be back, poppy. Thank you. And yes, amazing. Nature is most interesting and never ceases to amaze. 🙂
I’ve been telling my kid all winter to get rid of that wasp nest in “his” building. He has not done it yet. Scaredy cat. lol
They can be treacherous. 😉
I am the one allergic! Big 21 y/o 6’4″ 170 pounds of muscle- scaredy freaking cat! lol…don’t tell him I said that ;(
You know what they say: “the bigger the are…”
😀
I’m smiling at you, strolling, hand in hand, filling me full of happiness like you always could. 🙂 Steal the moments and treasure them, Gem. Better days are surely coming!
🙂
❤️
