CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – SHADOWS

Cee has thrown out the shadow gauntlet and I’m hoping that she doesn’t mind that I fooled with this a bit.  I downloaded a new app and I’m having fun with it.  So, since this is the “FUN FOTO CHALLENGE”…

Forgive me, Cee.  I might have gone overboard.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – ON TOP

Climbing to the top

Feeling like a kid again

Vertigo sets in

Never been a fan of ‘the top’.  Not mountains or trees or skyscrapers.  Not airplanes. Not anything.  But, I’ve climbed a tree.  I’ve climbed Mount Washington.  Long ago I dined at Windows on the World – on the 107th floor of the World Trade Center.   I’ve flown.  Not me, personally, but on a plane, many a time. So, I’ve been to the top.   Sometimes you have to step outside your comfort zone.

CEE’S ODD BALL CHALLENGE – WEEK 7

I love an “anything goes” challenge.  It gives me the chance to use pix that might not fall into an otherwise more specific category.

Jeff and I took a run over to a local nursery (Platt’s) a few days back and we found this in a pile of leaves.  It was just laying there right in the middle of the tall grass plants.  ODD.  It still had a price tag on it.  ODD.  And, it was surrounded by dead, brown leaves.  ODD.

DEAD, BROWN LEAVES?  IT’S APRIL!  COME ON!!

Cee’s challenge is a come one, come all affair.  Stop by her place and see what’ going on.  Click on the icon below.  COME ON!

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – PATTERNS

Imagination

Patterns made of sticks and stones

Have fun creating

My friend and I played with sticks and stones and he came up with part of the alphabet.  I guess maybe that’s a stretch – to call these patterns…

But then we fooled around with it a little and made these out of those…

Now, those are patterns.

After play, of course, there’s always a snack, so this…

Z a snack

Became this…

Z a snack pattern

The mind of a child – or two  😉

SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2014 WEEK 14

Cee’s back with some fun questions.  And I’m back with my usual witty answers. Ha!

Here we go…

1.  If you had to describe your day as a traffic sign, what would it be?

image

A One Way sign is not the way my day goes, but it’s something that I’m striving for.  Kind of like a keep calm and move on mentality.  Plus a little “Do not take anything personally”.  Maybe I could throw in an Under Construction sign too. 🙂

2.  Is your hair short (total neck and ear showing), medium (covering ears and neck), long (below shoulders), extra long (at least halfway down your back) or bald?

I have always wanted long hair but never had the patience to let it grow and flow.  Now, I can’t be bothered, so it’ short, short, short.  The shorter the better.

3.  When you are with your friends, do your interactions include much touching—for example, hugging, kissing, rough housing, rubbing backs? Would you like to have more of this? (Note: the answers may vary depending on where you live on this wonderful planet.)

I’m a hugger by nature.  But I play this one by ear.  Some of my friends greet me with a hug and a kiss.  I like that.  Some don’t, but that’s ok.  Respecting one’s personal space is the way to go.  Knowing my friends and how they feel about that space determines whether I show physical affection or greet with a smile. Both are delivered with love.

4.  What do you feel is the most enjoyable way to spend $100?

Simple.  Food and drink!

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful for my friends.  Been a little frazzled and they have helped put some things into perspective. I won’t go into detail, but thanks:  Genevieve, Marlene, my son, Jay, Adrian, Jen P. and the dear, sweet love of my life, Jeff. Also, a note to my friend RestlessJo. You’ve kept my spirits up, lady.  Thanks.

As  far as what I’ll be looking forward to next week, there’s nothing in the wind, but time will tell.  The lottery would be nice. If not then, simple.  Friends, food, and drink. 😉

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – THRESHOLD

Blissful Miss Spring:  Dear Old Man Winter, I’m begging you please. Move over.  Make room for the birds and some bees.

Old Man Winter:  Silly Miss Spring.  Get up off your knees.  I’m still not prepared to cut back on the freeze.

Blissful Miss Spring:  Sweet Old Man Winter,  oh, just a slight breeze.  One that will whistle through leaves in the trees.

Old Man Winter: Give a reason,  just one if you please.  A reason to bring back the birds and the bees.

Blissful Miss Spring:  Gosh, Old Man Winter.  Well – Geez Louise!  It’s just about time that you catch you some Z’s!

Looking forward to a blissful beginning to another new spring.  How about you?

This is in response to the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge – Threshold, as well as a blogger-friend’s reminder that it is poetry month. (Janna)   (And I throw out the word “poetry” loosely!)
