Cee’s back with some fun questions. And I’m back with my usual witty answers. Ha!
Here we go…
1. If you had to describe your day as a traffic sign, what would it be?
A One Way sign is not the way my day goes, but it’s something that I’m striving for. Kind of like a keep calm and move on mentality. Plus a little “Do not take anything personally”. Maybe I could throw in an Under Construction sign too. 🙂
2. Is your hair short (total neck and ear showing), medium (covering ears and neck), long (below shoulders), extra long (at least halfway down your back) or bald?
I have always wanted long hair but never had the patience to let it grow and flow. Now, I can’t be bothered, so it’ short, short, short. The shorter the better.
3. When you are with your friends, do your interactions include much touching—for example, hugging, kissing, rough housing, rubbing backs? Would you like to have more of this? (Note: the answers may vary depending on where you live on this wonderful planet.)
I’m a hugger by nature. But I play this one by ear. Some of my friends greet me with a hug and a kiss. I like that. Some don’t, but that’s ok. Respecting one’s personal space is the way to go. Knowing my friends and how they feel about that space determines whether I show physical affection or greet with a smile. Both are delivered with love.
4. What do you feel is the most enjoyable way to spend $100?
Simple. Food and drink!
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful for my friends. Been a little frazzled and they have helped put some things into perspective. I won’t go into detail, but thanks: Genevieve, Marlene, my son, Jay, Adrian, Jen P. and the dear, sweet love of my life, Jeff. Also, a note to my friend RestlessJo. You’ve kept my spirits up, lady. Thanks.
As far as what I’ll be looking forward to next week, there’s nothing in the wind, but time will tell. The lottery would be nice. If not then, simple. Friends, food, and drink. 😉

Friends, food, and drink; great minds, you and I.
I agree. About the great minds, that is. 😉
Been missing you. Hope all’s well.
Oh my! Looks like somehow I unfollowed you! I’m the one that’s been missing – sort of. Sorry, girlfriend!
Ooops! lol
Yeah, but how the h— does that happen?! All fixed. Phew.
Beats me!
Ah, so you do have friends!
I was interested in everything you wrote, especially the traffic sign. Made me think what mine would be. Probably a green light.
A green light sounds very positive. 😉
Thank you so much for the interest!
Interesting answers 😉
🙂
I can just hope that’s a good thing.
🙂
Of course it is !Have a nice day !
😉
Love your answers Gemma. My sign would say ‘No way’. LOL! I love short hair as well and yours suit you so well. Huggers are good people and I agree with the food and drink. Always good! Great answers and post hon. 😀 ♥ Hugs ♥
Thanks, Sonel. Sounds like we were sisters in another life. 😉
Hugs are my best way of greeting people too. Food, drink and friends sounds good to me, although a new pair of shoes never goes amiss. 😀 *hugs*
Shoes!? I am the barefoot type, but shoes would be less calories . 😀
That’s my reasoning. 🙂
Bless you, sweetheart 🙂 I’m nodding and smiling my way through your answers (I always nod and smile- bad habit!) and there I am, smiling back at myself. Thanks, hon. There’s still ropey times, Gem, but it’s good to know you have support.
❤️
Lots of positive things in your answers Gemma …. good to hear 🙂
Seem to have hit the right notes with family food and friends .. *hug
Can’t go wrong with the 3 F’s.
Huh???
Thanks, poppy. 😉
Great Qs and As. I love it! Friends and support and love and gratitude and food! Yay! I think my sign would be the “Yield” sign. Unless there’s one that says, “Go with the flow.”
That sounds like a great t-shirt logo. Sequel to Life Is Good. 🙂 ❤️
definitely hugs and kisses, usually an air kiss on the first meet, then graduates to a slight touch on the cheek. Gotta watch the gringo guys though, they usually head straight to the lips. Handshakes alone just don’t cut here in Ecuador. 🙂
See? I could live there!
😉
I also like to respect people’s space on touching. I’d definitely hug you. I can’t imagine you in long hair either. Thanks for sharing. Friends can be such a great support.
Hugs back atcha, Cee. I have a picture of the only time I remember me with long hair. I’ll have to share that some time. So different (and way younger)
😉
LOVE your new Avatar beautiful woman !
Ha ha! She’s young and beautiful! I’m old… And beautiful. LOL
Welcome back. Hope you’ve been a good kind of busy, Kathryn.
Working and working and working Gemma, kind of in shock.
Yes you are beautiful my dear !!!
🙂

Clever pingback. Thanks for the visit. I liked – literally – your post.
Well, first, its very good of you to name and thank me up there, Gem – thank you! Glad I’ve helped.
Now, these questions. The traffic sign one totally floors me, no idea – but on top of the Mendip Hills, along the road I always take down to the Somerset Levels, there is a sign showing a picture of a toad – they’re migrating over the road to their breeding site – and I’m going to tell the world, via your blog, of that sign.
But hair is easy – I haven’t got any! Well, not up top anyway, which is what I can only hope we’re talking about here 🙂 So, bald as a coot, and for a long, long time too.
I am touchy feely with a very few, special people, but I have a feeling others find me a little forbidding, intimidating perhaps – or maybe just plain off-putting, let’s be honest – I can feel their wary looks, and they keep their distance.
$100? Haha, I could get into nonsense about the dollar not being what it used to be, but I won’t – and the £ is not great either. But I’m with you – food and booze! Simple pleasures!
Last week? I’m grateful for safe passage through dense fog on my way down to the Levels – and for seeing a Wheatear – just in from Africa – standing atop a farm gate, greeting the sunrise. And I’m grateful for not smashing into the young boy who, without looking, drove straight out of a side road into my car’s path. And the week to come? Meeting old friends, visiting here from the other side of the world; and meeting more retirees at the University of the Third Age. Adrian xxx
Funny as always. And I don’t think you’re off putting at all! Toad? Ha! Again, I chuckle. I hope you have tons of fun with your friends and I’m glad you didn’t crush that little knucklehead!!!
You’re famous for a moment! I’ve just emailed you, couldn’t get you in the text so you had to go as an attachment. I hope you two are having a good weekend! A 🙂
This weekend’s starting out rough, but, we keep on keepin’ on, no? I’m gad I got my 15 minutes (seconds?) of fame.
Who did those two adorb sketches of the green-eyed white-haired chick?
Another string to your versatile bow?
I’m impressed, at any rate, G!
(After a girlhood as a touch-me-not, I’ve relaxed into old age huggiedom. Much better like this!)
Don’t be too impressed. I borrow from others. 😉
But thanks, Judith.
Oh and hugs.
😉

Why didn’t I think of food and drink? 🙂 I love both – maybe too much.
Don’t beat yourself up. LOL
Thanks for the visit, holley.
lol. I’ll try.
You’re welcome! 🙂
