I love an “anything goes” challenge. It gives me the chance to use pix that might not fall into an otherwise more specific category.
Jeff and I took a run over to a local nursery (Platt’s) a few days back and we found this in a pile of leaves. It was just laying there right in the middle of the tall grass plants. ODD. It still had a price tag on it. ODD. And, it was surrounded by dead, brown leaves. ODD.
DEAD, BROWN LEAVES? IT’S APRIL! COME ON!!
Cee’s challenge is a come one, come all affair. Stop by her place and see what’ going on. Click on the icon below. COME ON!
Ha! The only thing missing is the cowboy….
Maybe he’s six feet under, partner.
hmmmm ….. anything under there?
Heaven forbid!!!
Things like this make you ponder and wonder and invent stories…don’t you think ????
Yup. I should use that as a prompt. 😀
You so should.
🙂
Do you think it was put there recently? Or maybe the leaves were never cleaned up 🙂
Makes a nice photo though.
I’ve seen the workers wearing them, but after I took the photo I picked it up and it had a tag on it. We still have fallen leaves all around here. The spring flowers are popping through them. It’s kind of an oxymoron. 😀
I always wonder about single shoes lying in the street. How did it they get there and where are the partners???
janet
Right? You’d think someone would notice they’re walking around with only one shoe. 🙂
Thanks for the visit, Janet.
ME toooo — just doesn’t make sense!!
I simply adore your odd hat and leaves. Wonderful shot and eyes. Thanks.
Thanks. That was fun!
Nice post Gem 🙂
Thank you, Jake 🙂
downright odd 😉
😉
This is a mystery for sure, Gemma. I bet they’ll have to reduce the price now, after it’s been under all those dead leaves for so long. Maybe you can get a bargain. 🙂
I’m not a hat person but someone might get a deal. 😉
It has a certain appeal, Gem 🙂 It would keep that hot beating sun off my head. There I go, imagining things again.
Or you could turn it upside down and use it as a handbag?
Always on the ball with that imagination, Jo. LOL
Funny lady. 😉
xxx
really fun picture! odd indeed! 🙂
Thank you! 😉
