Climbing to the top
Feeling like a kid again
Vertigo sets in
Never been a fan of ‘the top’. Not mountains or trees or skyscrapers. Not airplanes. Not anything. But, I’ve climbed a tree. I’ve climbed Mount Washington. Long ago I dined at Windows on the World – on the 107th floor of the World Trade Center. I’ve flown. Not me, personally, but on a plane, many a time. So, I’ve been to the top. Sometimes you have to step outside your comfort zone.
Thanks to WordPress, and Sara Rosso, for coming up with this week’s challenge. Click on the icon below and it will take you to Sara’s post.
So fun! I’ve never eaten at that place. Passed it right by on the way to the observation deck. And souvenir shop. #toolate
The elevator felt like it took a tenth of a second to get to the 107th floor. It was amazing. I only got the chance to do it once, but it was the tops! 😉
Very cool how you did that. You are SO creative…and funny too, I like that.
Thanks, Dawn. I’m glad you think SO. 😉
Well I was just thinking birds of a feather and all that…LOL!
This is one stunning shot Gemma and perfect for the challenge! I don’t like high places either and flying isn’t something I like to do as well, so I know how you feel. Mother Earth for me thank you. 😀
Right? Feet firmly planted!

Great image! ATP
Thanks, ATP. In a whirl. 🙂
Great photo!!!!! And I am right there with you on not liking heights. Yuck… You won’t find me on a balcony on a skyscraper. Mt. Washington? as in New Hampshire? Done that! Grew up in that area. Wonderful post for the prompt.
Yup. Like in New Hampshire. ;-). Didn’t even know I was scared til I turned around part way up! Freaky!

Great image for the theme, Gemma. I’ve also dined up there, in June 2001. I don’t mind heights at all. 🙂
Thank you, Sylvia. 🙂
How did you do that? Get that shot I mean. And give me vertigo!
You never cease to amaze 🙂
I took the shot as I was falling to the ground. Kidding! Ya gotta love those apps!
Love it! Brilliant.
I love heights 😀
I probably did too when I was your age. No fear. Now – fear!!
