CEE’S ODD BALL CHALLEGE – WEEK 20

There’s this tissue box on my wine rack that has been there since Christmas.  Yes.  You heard me right.  Christmas!   I guess no one remembers it’s there because I’ve replaced all the other tissue boxes a dozen times since then – we have some runny noses around here.

This morning I was looking for a little inspiration.  Something that would tell me all’s right with my world.  There is so much craziness going on in the news, in my life, in general – that, being the odd ball person that I am, I thought this might be a lucky sign.

Do you see it?

I know these are not prize winning photos, but they are my inspiration for today.

Do you feel it?  I do.

A rainbow followed me into the house today.  Now THAT’S a stroke of luck!

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – RELIC

The top of a gazebo? A giant birdcage?  A incredibly large lawn ornament? An alien spaceship’s skeletal remains?

I don’t know what this old relic is.  You tell me?

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – CIRCLES AND CURVES

A mother and son collaboration.  Going along with the title, I decided to have a little fun with these fotos.  I included a few circles and curves,  a quote or two,  credit where credit is due, and a clever quip from a blogging buddy.  Enjoy and then circle around to Cee’s blog and see more on Circles and Curves.  Just click on the icon at the end of this post, and thanks for stopping by.

Gotta love these apps! By mother and son. Quote by Gerry C.

What could be more honest and genuine than a cat.  They don’t pull any punches, nor do they fake their feelings, concerns, and wishes.  I’d like to take a page out of this kitty’s book.  To thine own self – and everyone else – be true. In the long run, you won’t have to untangle a lie.  🙂 Kitty Quote by Gerry C.  You can read more about Gerry here.

SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2014 WEEK 27

OK.  I’ve missed a few but I’m not going to go back and make them up.  😉

Here are Cee’s questions for week 27.  Read on then join in if you dare.  Click on the icon below to Share Your World with Cee.

If you were the architect of one existing building, which building would you select?

Just off the top of my head, I’d say having a part in the construction of Notre Dame Cathedral.  I’ve never been there, but photos look absolutely breathtaking.  I wouldn’t mind taking credit for that!

What is one of your favorite quotes?

Every day I come across a new phrase, or quote, or bible verse that makes me feel grateful and blessed.  Some of these I find myself, some I get in emails from friends and family, some I come across while reading other blogs. So I can’t really say I have a favorite.   I can say that so far TODAY, this one’s my favorite.

Joy grandkids

What color do you feel most comfortable wearing?

I’m partial to blacks, browns, dark greens, beiges – earthy colors, but I’ve been branching out.  Coral is a color I’ve experimented with lately.  So out-of-the-box for me, but I’m eating up the compliments when I wear it. 😉

What is something you learned in the last week?

How much my family means to me.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week?  Visiting grand kids. (see pic above)

Week to come?  A clean slate.  (those of you that know me will understand)

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Squares, Triangles and Angles

Multiple trips to Cooper Hospital over the past few months, working on getting mom back on her feet has netted me a plethora of Squares, Triangles and Angles.  In line with keeping a positive outlook, and in hopes of learning from this experience, ie:  living in the moment, appreciation, gratitude, and realizing the value and importance of family, I give you a wall of hopes and prayers and dreams – Geometry Style!

Even hospital visits can add some beauty to an anxiety-filled day.  See the beauty.  It’s always  there, somewhere.  You just have to look for it.

TRAVEL THEME – TWIST

A little twist on TWIST.

I couldn’t resist.

Remember when?  Though these good times are in the past for this baby boomer, I’m not opposed to the slide or the swings.  These are my friends.  This is my job.  Find the fun and run with it! (Or in my case, walk gingerly.)   How lucky am I? 😉

Slow and steady wins the race.  Good to be back.

To all it applies to, Happy Independence Day!Peace flag

And to all of you, Seize The Day!
