Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken. ~ Warren Buffett

Ok. Maybe not Alice’s. More like Amy’s but YUM! 200 variety of omlettes?!?! What’s not to like?
And last but not least, well. You tell me. It may be pretty obvious, but I’ll give you a clue, just in case … Aloha `oe, aloha `oe

I like the first photo and quote a lot. Good job with all of them.
Thanks, Allan. Warren. Rich. Very very. And smart. Very very. Probably how he got rich. 😉
Oh I like it >>> great stuff!!! I like all these pictures, but especially the top one – is this anything to do with you getting more up close and personal with those fences on the beach? Well, whatever, I love the size, strength and weight of those chains and the way the light is reflecting off their black surfaces – and the white bits are a perfect foil for them. Did you get to grips with the contrast concept?
I haven’t a clue what you’re on about in the final caption despite it being “pretty obvious” >>> but when has that ever stopped me, DOH!!! Try cropping off the bottom quarter of it, might give it more impact.
The seat up against the pale wall and then the darker above the wall is also good – well seen, ATP! You ought to do more mono! Hugs from me! ATP xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxXXXXXXXX!
THANKS! A. I’ll email you. Dont want to spoil it for the rest. 😄
P. S. The chain is a giant decoration outside of the bakery. Go figure.
Oh and i made some changes, contrast, u think. 😄 https://firstandfabulous.wordpress.com/2014/10/31/travel-theme-autumn/
GAH! LOVE the bottom shot. Plus, I’m about to slice into one right now! Snack break. I also love the Warren Buffett quote. Ain’t THAT the truth!? Sweet black and whites.
Thanks! I’d like to meet that guy. He sounds so down to earth and I’ll bet he’s crazy interesting. I hope you enjoyed your Hawaiian delight. #yum
200 kinds of omlettes? Wow!
Its really a chain (not to play on words) Check it out!
Love pineapples.:) Great B&W images, Gemma. The Warren Buffett quote is very profound, especially for a Sunday morning. 🙂
🙂 👍
These are all wonderful patterns. Thanks so very much for playing.
🙂
A nice collection. I love the one of the chains – such an ordinary subject and yet such an effective photo in black and white.
Thanks, Colline. Sat on them while Iate a nice, fresh, hot roll. It was NOT comfortable but it gave me the idea for the shot at that level. 👍😉
You’ve shown me that patterns are so much more interesting in black and white. Well done on all these photos.
Thanks, Trish! So nice of you to say. 🙂
Black and white can be a bit of a challenge but it definitely can be interesting. Thanks for visiting.
🙂
Love them all- the bottom one grossed me out until I figured out what it was. Then it made me hungry. Lol.
Oh man! You are hysterical! And thanks! 😉
love the shots, and the last one, well we just planted ten of these 🙂
Yum! Maybe I should have said farewell to thee in Spanish instead of Hawaiian. 🙂
Fabulous shots, Gemma.
I think your soul expresses itself a little differently in B/W. Interesting!
Thanks, judith. (My soul or souls in general? )
Both, I suppose. At different times, in relation to different subjects.
The sensibility here in these shots surprised me a little, and added some new details to my portrait of you.
Not sure how to take that ‘sensibility’ thing. 😱
Your aesthetic eye responding? Not sure how to explain it!
In that case … Ahhhh. Sweet! 😉
