I’m low on bark but long on leaves while walking through the park nearby that is blanketed in red and gold. Each step I take makes a crispy, crunching sound. Like something out of a horror movie. I even scared myself! You know, like when you’re watching something spooky, and you’re shouting to the TV. “Don’t go in the basement!” “Why would you follow the sound. RUN WHILE YOU CAN!” “DON’T OPEN THAT DOOR!”
Thank goodness it was so gorgeous or I might have had to turn around. “NO! DONT LOOK BEHIND YOU!!!”

WALK THIS WAY…

REFLECTIONS
Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. ~ Albert Camus

LONE LEAF
Don’t be afraid to take a long walk and breathe it all in. But before you do, drop by Cee’s challenge by clicking on the icon below.
So pretty. Red and gold are the best. We’ve gone past that now, around here and straight to brown. And broken. And gloppy. And slimy. I hope the lawn guys come today….. Ugh.
Oh. We have browns too. I believe those are the crunchies. 🍂🌿🍂
Love the reflections of the trees! So pretty!
Thanks a bunch 🙂
fabulous, autumn love it…
Thanks, gerry. Hope you’re well. 🙂
These are really cool trees and leaves. Thanks so much for participating.
🙂 fun
Everywhere is looking so lovely .. we’re going to miss this look very soon 😦
Best enjoy while we can … on with the crunching I say Gemma !
Yup. I’ll miss it when I’m shoveling snow. Ugh!
😉
Beautiful captures, Gemma. That lone leaf looks like it’s made of pure gold. (I’m relieved to know that I’m not the only person who shouts advice to people heading for disaster on the TV. ) 😀
No you are not! And can you believe these people that go out chasing after sounds. Come on! 😉
😆
Love the colors of fall. Here in Ecuador we have the rainy season and dry season so the hills are either green or brown but at least the flowers bloom all year round. Oh yeah, spooky movies, you always know who’s going to get killed first by the “dumbness” of their actions.
Fools! All of them! LOL
Thanks for stopping by, amigos. 😉
I very much like the third picture down, ATP – good stuff! ATP xxx
Thanks, bud. ❤️ xxx
really cool shots – like the lone leaf and then that reflection is so purdy 🙂 ❤
Much thanks, Yvette. 😊
So,you’re afraid of your own shadow? Nothing bad can happen in a gorgeous place like that. But is there a basement in your house? An attic? An empty room? Beware!
ALL THREE!!!! Plus a crawl space. AHHHHH!
I love this …Excellent Autumn shot 🙂
Thanks, Jake. 🙂
Oh, Gem! These are gorgeous 🙂 That framed reflection stopped me in my tracks! I’d just been smiling at ‘walk this way’. That expression always makes me think ‘keep taking the tablets’ 🙂 Hugs darlin’
Thanks so much, Jo. Keep smiling. 😄
The foliage is stunning. I wouldn’t be able to breathe because of the beauty.mand what a bonus if it is quiet all around – you can drink it in more 🙂
It is a small, but very pretty park. And right outside my door. 🙂
Thank you, Colline.
I love the reflections.
Thanks. 👍
Whahahaha Gemma! Sounds like you’ve watched too many horror movies. I love horror movies. Luckily we don’t have basements. Just watched ‘Ouija’ the other day. Not scary enough. 😆
Wow! Your captures are just totally magnificent! I love Autumn and wish we had more trees here like that! Such gorgeous colours and you’ve captured the reflections and the atmosphere so well. I have no more words. 😀 ♥
Thanks, Sonel. Oh and M. Knight Shamalon is coming out with a new film in September of 2015. A little bit of a wait, but it promises to be VERY scary. ‘No more words’. FUNNY. 😀
I am sad when the trees get all undressed but it sure is a beautiful transition. Lovely reflections with such a beautiful pop of color!!
Thanks! It was great to see in person, but preserving it was good too.
