I took some liberties this week – I’ll attribute it to poetic license.
1.
license or liberty taken by a poet, prose writer, or other artist in deviating from rule, conventional form, logic, or fact, in order to produce a desired effect.
My desired effect was to showcase a rose that caught my eye, a Zentangle I created and felt fit the theme of the challenge, and a conglomeration of the two.
P.S. I throw out that word “artist” with tongue in cheek. 🙂
CONVERGE

A rose that captured my heart

My Converging Tangle
You might notice some white spots in the black ink. I could say I meant to do that. Truth is I need a new pen – ROAD TRIP!

A blend of the two

Thanks for the visit, comment, or like. Heck! Thanks for just taking the time to stop by.
No tongue in cheek needed. That’s really cool!
Much appreciated, Sue.
Haha..road trip…any excuse.
Yup.
1. Bread
2. Milk
3. Wine (Jeff isn’t keeping up with the demand!)
4. Sharpies!
Wow! What a great effect! Superfun convergence of 2 beautiful pieces of art – one created by God and one created by YOU! I love it. God should be inside everything we do.
You are absolutely correct!
Thanks, G. ❤️👍🌹
Your fascinating images work perfectly for the challenge, Gemma. I adore that blend. It would make a great wall decoration. 🙂
Thanks, ad. I might just do that. 😉
(Just wish I thought of it myself)
😉
Wow! Very nice!
Much appreciation. Thought I might not have the concept but I had fun. 🙂
Very creative, Gemma!
Thank you very much. 🙂
I am glad I am not hippy of my past looking at these…heehee! love ’em
I hear ya, gerry! ✌️
Thanks!
Yay ! Nice one Gemma .
You’ve been working your sharpies overtime then .. now that’s REALLY good to hear .
Definitely time to stock up – an artist cannot possibly be left without the basic materials 🙂
Artist!?!?!? Yay!!!!
Seriously, thank you, poppy. What fun. After 63 years, to be called ‘an artist’. I’m stocking up!!!
What comes across to me loud and clear is what a WONDERFUL time you had doing this!
Yup yup. 🙂
How fun.
Yes it was. 😉
I really like the second one. Great interpretation if you ask me!
Well thanks, Andrew. 🙂
I love a 63 year old liberty taking artist, Gem! 🙂 🙂 Seriously, your Gravatar doesn’t look a day over 40!
That rose is the way to my heart too. Hugs!
The Gravatar is timeless. It’s my old mug that’s the problem. 😉
🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️
It’s a beautiful mug 🙂 Incidentally, did you see the Owl and the Pussycat video on Barb’s Passionate about Pets (or YouTube)? Will send you the link if not. Might be right up your street 🙂
No I didn’t and thank you. ❤️❤️❤️
I’ll be looking for your link. Thanks.
Beautiful blending of the two. It created a unique, exciting colors and pattern. A work of Art. Have a great week ahead. All the best to you and your family.
Thanks, Mr. B. You all do the same. 🙂
love them both, a work of art, you ARE an artist 🙂
Awww. Long way to go but thanks, amigos. 🙂
Very, very cool! I think an “artist” is definitely at play here.. 🙂
Thanks, UtO. Been aspiring a long time. I’ll keep at it. 😉
Beautiful stuff, my friend – but the rose has captured my heart too – a very striking image! A
You’re compliments are thoroughly enjoyed. 🙂 ❤️, Adrian.
I throw out that word “license” with tongue in cheek! 😀
😀
Hiya lovely! 🙂 This is the link I mentioned. There are now two owl videos on there so I’ve posted the whole thing. Enjoy!

Good grief! How adorable is that?! Do you see why I love them? And that looks like my cat Phoenix. So I love it all the more. ❤️👍✌️
I thought it might appeal. I was amazed at the first vid 🙂
brilliant blending of the two – and the warm rose color is vibrant and just rich!
I also feel like that first photo is Georgia O’keeffe – like – very cool – and what kind of special pen do you use for your zentangles?
That one was a Sharpie pen fine point. It doesn’t say “marker”. It says “pen”.
Thanks, Yvette. 👍😉
well we actually have a couple of those pens – and I love Sharpie brand – I also have their calligraphy markers (or pens) and they work well for fast writing that can still look neat.
oh and I forgot to note that I think the colored version of your pentangle feels more 3-D. The black and white felt 2-D and looking at the colored one it almost pulls you in the center –
I see what you mean. I am so much a beginner and I’m following a few people on Instagram to soak up some knowledge. Sometimes I think I’m getting discouraged and then I think, “No! Inspired!” 😉👍
I absolutely love the tree ! I dragged a large piece of weird wood out of the woods myself recently in the hopes to make it a sculpture. I just tried to attach the short link but the NEW WP has me puzzled ! Cheers!
PS- that was meant for your ODD post which I had open but I am now perplexed ! 🙂 The rose is also beautiful and soft.
No worries. 😉
I wasnt worried ! 🎄🌲🎄Hugs!
