Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
I’m a hugger. Unless I know you don’t want to be hugged. Then I’m not! (I can respect that.)
What’s your favorite ice-cream flavor?
Toss up. Mint chocolate chip and butter pecan. I’ll take a scoop of each, please.
Do you prefer exercising your mind or your body? How frequently do you do either?
Huh?
Just kidding, kinda. I do a little of both. Don’t want to get to crazy with either. The old bones ain’t what they use to be and the mind, though a terrible thing to waste, doesn’t pick up on things too easily. (Poor reading habits growing up. So now you know.)
Are you more of a dog person or a cat person? Why?
Although I live with both, I’d have to say I favor dogs, due to the unconditional love and all. (Does that sound needy?)

Rocky in recovery. ❤️

Phoenix. Dreamy. As most cats are.❤️
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am so grateful that our dog, Rocky is doing much better. For those that don’t know, we had to have his left front digits amputated. (The Big “C” does not discriminate, the bastard!)
I am also grateful for my sister. She is a wonder. Love you, sis.
The week coming up? Nothing in particular. Just plain grateful.
Come share you’re world at Cee’s. Click on the icon below to get there, and thanks for the visit. 😉
Great shares! Coffee ice cream for me. Or any flavor with sprinkles. I’m powerless in the face of sprinkles. Rocky’s tiny paw is too sweet. Yay for recovery. I hope Toni’s paw is recovering, too! 🙂 I think you’re both having sympathy pains…..
It’s been a heck of a year. Here’s to no more pain for all concerned. 😍
Oh, I didn’t know about Rocky. I hope he has a full recovery. 😦
Thanks, Janna. He’s a trooper. 🙂
I’m thrilled to hear Rocky is better. I know you were concerned to say the least. Thanks so much sharing. 🙂
Thanks for a place to share. 😉
Rocky looks as if he is being taken care of quite well. What lovely sisters! I am thankfulfor my two. I like dogs but prefer cats for my own.
Thanks, coastal. Rocky is a rock! 😉
I would like to hug your dog, does that count?
That TOTALLY counts! Thanks. 🙂 and Rocky thanks you.
I would also love to hug dear Rocky. So happy he’s getting better. Love that image of Phoenix and the name too. You and your sister both look very huggable. *hugs*
I knew you’d be a hugger. YAY!
Thanks, Sylvia. 😍
All of this was GREAT. Especially the sisters photo.
THANKS.
🙂
Poor Rocky ! Love seeing you two smile. Lucky girls !
Thank you, Kathryn. 🙂
Glad Rocky’s doing better. He looks good.
I love butter pecan mixed with chocolate! YummmmEEEE!
That could be my third scoop. Chocolate. Yuuuummmmm!!!!
LOL
So glad Rocky is recovering!! And he is eating out of the EXACT SAME BOWL that my dogs have. Except probably bigger.
I also share your affinity for mint chocolate chip ice cream. Mmmmmmm.
Thank you Sue. Everything he plays with eats out of or drags around is big. LOL.
Rocky is looking so good … you and sister looking even better ! Fabulous pictures Gemma .
oh and … xhugsx 🙂
Thanks a million, poppy. 😉
great pic of you and your sister and so glad Rocky is doing better
Thanks! He’s a big strong baby. 🙂
I’m really glad to hear about Rocky, very much so! OK, inquisition. I’m only a hugger in situations that really merit it, not a routine clasper! Favourite ice cream – strawberry maybe.
Exercising mind or body? Well, my mind gets a lot anyway, but as a fat oldie, or maybe an old fatty, I know I must exercise, and I enjoy it.
Oh definitely CATS!!! I grew up with one, he was a couple of years older than me, and died when he was 15 or so – his photo is here beside me. We don’t have a cat, but I’m a total cat fan!
VERY much like the shot of your sister and you – a wonderful, warming photo. Last week? Staying safe amidst storm. rockfalls and floods on a visit to the Levels. This week – hoping all goes well with removing my small nasal lump!!! A xxx
Funny. I thought you looked like a hugger. 🙂
You are in my thoughts ( and prayers, even though you don’t go in for that stuff😉)
P. S. Strawberry ice cream is my least favorite yet I love strawberries! Just like I LOATHE peas but LOVE pea soup. Weird, right? I know.
Well yes, I do go in for that stuff, but in a Pagan way – I was repeatedly thanking them only this morning for the lack of ice and snow, as I had to give wifey an early lift. And hugger? Maybe for inspirational souls. No. not weird, its simply you being yourself, your own person. Two Irish coffees pre-breakfast have made the day pleasantly soft focus … 😉 …. xxx
Same here Gem ,, Give me a hugs to your family friend there.
Will do, Jake. Thanks. 😉
Such a beautiful and inspiring post Gemma and I love the shot of you and your sis. Gorgeous beauties, the two of you and I soooo love your hair. Wish I could manage something like that, but I think I would scare myself into a heart attack. ha!
I love hugs, but because of the fibro, I do prefer gentle hugs. Ice cream favourite is just vanilla with condensed milk on … lots of it. 😆
I also swim a lot as the silly fibro muscles can’t handle the strenous exercises and swimming is more fun too.
Sorry to hear about Rocky hon and I know he will recover quickly because he is loved so much and taken such great care of as well. I am more a doggie person but if you take pets out of the equation, it will be Monkeys and Tigers. 😆
We have so much to be grateful for indeed. Thanks for sharing hon and have a wonderful weekend. 😀 ♥ Hugs ♥
Thanks, Sonel. Believe it or not the hair is even shorter now. 🙂
Vanilla? That’s kind of refreshing. No frills. I like it.
Rocky had a vet visit today and he’s doing pretty good. Jeff has nicknamed him Stumpy. Ahhhhhh!
Hugs, sweetie.
Well, I know it would suit you just perfectly Gemma. You’re one cool and gorgeous lady! 😀
Yep, that’s me … no frills. 😆
Awww, I am so glad to hear that. Please give him a big hug and kiss from me and isn’t it funny how the men can always find nicknames for our babies? You don’t want to hear all the names Simba and Tweety had been called. 😆
♥ Hugs ♥
❤️😉
glad rocky is doing well – and I love the photo (gorgeous breed) – also had me laughing (again) with the “Huh?”
ha!
and the pic with your sis ❤ ❤ ❤
Glad I made you smile, Yvette. Always a good thing. And thanks for the nice compliment. My sister will be pleased. 😍
🙂 – and give Rocky a woof from me
Occasional hugger.
I’m lactose intolerant, and I can’t take that lactose-free stuff!
I exercise both; the mind constantly, the body 4 times a week in the gym.
Dog person by far, and for the the same reason. No that’s not being needy, it’s being human. Most members of our species are the product of 100,000 years of evolution and God’s will to be able to give and receive various states of love and care (hang in there, Rocky).
I’m glad that I got through last week. I’m going to get through next week too, just wait and see!
I love my sisters too. Yay for sisters!
I appreciate you joining in. Dogs. The best! See you next week.
Poor Rocky to have to go through that, I’m glad he has you to love and care for him. I always thought it would be nice to have a sister. You are blessed to have each other.
She’s far away but yes. Thank goodness for technology! 😉
Thanks for the visit, Patti.
Wonderful shares, Gem 🙂 Sorry I missed this initially. That photo of Rocky is so-o-o…. and your cat! ‘Is there a world where I’m not the centre? I really don’t care! Just don’t disturb me, right?’ This challenge is almost therapy, isn’t it? Love you, hon, and your beautiful smile 🙂
You’re hysterical!
I have missed many a post. Sadly I’ve started deleting when I get too backed up. I HATE doing that but I have no choice. And just when you think you’re on the upswing, carpel tunnel surgery!!!! Feb 6. I am trying not to be annoyed. My drawing, typing/texting hand. Grrrr. This too shall pass. Love back at you, sweetie.
I’m swearing quietly on your behalf, Gem! Mild harassment here over this silly London trip but when I finally get my act together I hope to enjoy it 🙂
