CEE’S ODD BALL PHOTO CHALLENGE 2015 – WEEK 11

I sat down at my computer to compose this post and it made me think: Why do I do so many Odd Ball posts?  Well, I’m not going to worry about it.

Here are some odd shots of some ‘decor’ around town.  The town slogan:  “Collingswood. The place you want to be.”  Or something like that.

I got a look at my 5 figure tax bill recently.  I’m not so sure anymore.

I was real conflicted about it, as DeNiro said in Analyze This. (P.S.  This movie is an oldie but a goodie – kind of like me.  If you haven’t seen it, it’s good for a chuckle – kind of like me.)

Boss Paul Vitti: I wasn’t really gonna whack you.

Dr. Ben Sobel: Paul…

Boss Paul Vitti: Okay, I was gonna whack you. But I was real conflicted about it.

Anywho… Crocheting?  Knitting?  Combo of the two?  Is it art?  Is it tacky? It certainly is Odd Ball.

  1. I love knitting and crocheting and yarn (lots and lots of yarn) so if I like it, it’s probably tacky. But who cares! Bring it on! And 5 figure tax bill?? Ouch. I think I would pass out.

      • That does explain a lot! As for my yarn projects – I generally lose count and have crooked edges or scarves that curl or holes where I’ve dropped a stitch. I haven’t picked up needles in a few years – too busy biking, hiking or blogging. 🙂

  2. well I think I really love the oddball challenge as one of the top ones – because of eclectic posts like this – and the benches are my fav – and o my goodness – analyze this is truly a classic and it is on my top 50 list for sure – thanks for the quote….
and dr. sobel at the meeting is my fav scene…. but such a good movie G

    • I went by and looked. Thank you. I really like the blue ones in the middle second shelf from the bottom. So pretty. It gives me an idea maybe I should have a curio cabinet to put mine in. Or at least I should take a picture of all of them together if I can fit them in one shot. Or maybe a panoramic view. ❤️👍

  3. Such stunning crochet work Gemma and I just love your shots! So colourful and full of life. That Hot chocolate bar sounds like just the place to visit in the winter. 😀 ♥

  4. I LOVE the tree blanket with all the little birds sitting on it. When it gets dark, maybe sneak over there and grab it for me. It would be PERFECT on my bed. It will give me happy dreams. …or maybe I should eat bananas before bed…? 🙂

    • Haha. Don’t wait for me to ‘grab’ anything. That one and the heart bench were my favorite, if I have a favorite. If I were you I’d go with the banana. Somebody has to test the theory.

  5. Yes, your doing oddball so well might be misconstrued ….. LOL!!!!! And I like the bench too – good stuff! And, AND, I seem to have lost 2 pounds this week, but this culinininary sinful weekend might reverse that!!! A xxx

    • Yes, it usually is. I hadn’t noticed that. Kind of an extension of Share Your World, huh? Thanks for checking in. One of my Oddball characters, Abby, ( find her here – https://firstandfabulous.wordpress.com/2015/02/13/cees-odd-ball-challenge-2015-week-6/ ) has been taken off the front lawn. I don’t know what happened to her and I am tempted to knock on “her” door to ask what happened to her. I was wanting to make her a “regular” but… I hope they just took her in to spruce her up, but I often wondered how she never got taken off the lawn. Last I saw, she had a yellow rain slicker on and was fairing rather well with this nasty cold weather. I hope the township didn’t tell the folks that they are not allowed to have her on the lawn. Can they do that????? Again, why am we paying these insane taxes! Just for garbage pick up?!?!? They don’t even do that right! (OK thanks for the sounding board.) 😉
