For 25 years I worked in an office. (Some of you might know this so hang in a minute…) After a healthy dose of downsizing, I decided I’d go to college (natural progression, right?) After graduating, I went into teaching (a life long dream, and I’m getting to my point, I swear!)
I taught Developmental Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade. So after retiring (here it comes) I knew I couldn’t take on a part time gig without having the words, “FUN” and “KIDS” and “PLAY” involved. So now I ‘sit’ a little genius, and on no school day, his bro.
Sometimes, girls (and their charges) just wanna have fu-un. 😉
My buddy wanted to be a robot for the day. Fun!
Sometimes we make it up as we go along
We made Lego names for an Instagram Challenge I entered. More fun.
And, although this is a moving Odd Ball, still, fun, Fun, FUN!
My friend and I invite you to visit with Cee for more on Odd Ball pix. Click on the icon below.
Talk about unaware! I was just that – unaware that I had any candid photo. Just goes to show you. You never know what you have til you take a good, hard look.
These first two photos are pictures of my little charge. I watch this cutie five days a week, and if you’re familiar with my blog, you know that he is not shy when it comes to the camera. But, as luck would have it, I got him in his unawares. 😉
This boy is all about learning, and planets and how the human body works, and he soaks it up like a sponge. Someday, I’ll share a video of him teaching me about space. Precious!
This gentleman just looked very interesting to me. I practically never take candid shots, but I do remember doing this one. I was being very sneaky, and I felt guilty as hell! Just call me Double Oh Doofus. (I shot this in B&W, hence, the B&W.)
This photo was taken in the same diner as the gentlemen above. She was the hostess and that hair do, in my eyes, made her the hostess with the mostess. I LOVE THAT DO! Color and all.
Well, that’s it for my covert operations. Slip on over to Cee’s and spy with your little eye, a little more on the
clueless unaware. Click on the icon below…
This week, Michele at WordPress asks for at least three photos that are dominant orange. I’m glad she said “at least” because I stink at rules and if she had said “only three” I wouldn’t have been able to choose. It’s not that they’re all that unique. It’s just that I took the time to shot the pix and I like them all, so I’m using them all. That simple.
Here goes orange…
Cracker Barrel Gummy Carrots
In case you’re having trouble getting your kids to eat veggies.
In case you don’t care if they eat their veggies.
Something to hold all of your wine corks
A place to stash your corks after you wash down your veggies (not the kid’s).
Espress It Coffee Shop wall decor
And, just because it’s pretty and sunny and cheerful and ORANGE.

It’s snowing! No kidding. They finally (they being our illustrious meteorologists) got it right. After many predictions that were, shall we say, slightly off (by a mile!) we are getting hammered. So after finding out I don’t have to go and watch my little charges today, Jeff declares a road trip is in order. I’m always up for a road trip, even in blizzard conditions, so off to breakfast and a perfect opportunity to record a Which Way Challenge.
Heading out the door…
Slip sliding up the road…
And, oh yeah, we made it!
Breakfast was yummy. We watched the snow fall and the patrons slip sliding there way to their vehicles, and then home again, home again, jiggity jig.
And yup. Those are my footprints walking (which way?) away from the house because I forgot to get a shot of the fresh snow before I went in and had to come back out. DOPE!
And for those of you who don’t get snow, or are enjoying the wonders of summer, here’s a little slo-mo-snow for your viewing pleasure. Don’t worry. I’m safe inside capturing this.
When you’ve had enough of the snow, head on over to Cee’s Which Way Challenge and join in the fun. Click on the image below.
Thirteen years ago, I got my motorcycle license. And it’s been that long since I nearly dropped the bike with me on it, and I never got on that horse again. OK. It was an adventure, but I’ll stick to riding shotgun, or whatever they call it when you’re the passenger enjoying the scenery as it flies by.
Jeff still likes to ride, so I’ll just hang on and sing a few bars of “Born to Be Wild” as the wind blows through my gray locks.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Bikes and Motorcycles…
Jeff’s old Harley
Jeff in his element
Grandson in HIS element – chip off the old grandblock
This was a heart stopper.
And just for a chuckle, for those of you who didn’t see this post, this was Jeff’s helmet and goggles, left out in the garage over the winter. You’ve heard of “through the looking glass”? Well this was “through the broken window”. Apparently momma bird needed a place to build her nest. We watched these critters hatch and fly away. Needless to say, that helmet made it’s acquaintance with the trash.
AND TO LEAVE YOU WITH A FEW WORDS OF WISDOM…
KICK IT INTO GEAR. But first stop on over at Cee’s for more on Bikes and Motorcyles. (you know the routine – click on the icon below)
