Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles

vehicle sign

A look at vehicles – both young and old.

I have always been a car freak.  I’ve had too many variations on the theme to mention.  But I will say that VW’s have been my car of choice.  This vehicle has gone full circle, from my 1961 bug purchased in 1969 (no photo, sadly) to my current set of wheels, a 2013 bug.

And now, thanks to Cee’s challege at ceenphotography.com, here are a few of my favorite things.

CEE’S BLACK & WHITE CHALLENGE – CLOSE UPS/MACROS

“I decided that if I could paint that flower in a huge scale, you could not ignore it’s beauty.” ~ Georgia O’Keeffe

Georgia O’Keeffe did indeed paint HUGE fabulous flowers.  The colors were vibrant and there was no mistaking the paintings were hers.  Actually, she also painted some incredible black and white – which I didn’t know until now.   I wonder if she had painted my flowers, would they look something like this?

B&W flower 3B&W flower 2B&W flower 1

Personally, I think a flower dressed in any color is fabulous.

BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE – TEXTURES

Next stop, Sonel’s Corner and a new challenge – for me.  Black and White photos.   I think B&W is tricky.  Some things work with it and some don’t.  I’m going to take a shot at it and see where it leads me.  Worst that could happen, people will not agree with my choices.  Best that could happen, I might learn something.  (And THAT’S a good thing!).

I hope Sonel doesn’t mind me joining in.  She seems really nice, so I’m thinking she will welcome me with open arms.  OK maybe not open arms, but I don’t think she’ll shut the proverbial door in my face.

Please feel free to comment and help  (be kind!)
