CEE’S WHICH WAY CHALLENGE – 2015 WEEK #18

Whether shopping in New Hope, PA, or trolling the beaches of NJ, or just taking a neighborhood stroll, the thing to remember is to enjoy the moment.  I’ve been so wrapped up in keeping up, that I wasn’t enjoying what I was doing, reading, posting, etc.  I’m here when I’m here.  I’ve figured out that ‘breathing’ is essential to living in the moment.  I’m not ignoring you. I SWEAR.  I’ll get there when I get there, and when I do I will ‘like’, no I will LOVE you, but til then I’ll take the road less traveled and breathe.

CEE’S WHICH WAY PHOTO CHALLENGE – 2015 WEEK #7

I know I haven’t been here for a while, so this #7 is probably more like número uno for me this year, but I saw a picture of a VW beetle and if you know anything about me you know I love VW bugs. and if you know anything else about me, you know I’m a nice person 😉 so  I wanted to share.

Fast forward to Which Way…

So we heard it was going to snow today.  But do we stay home? Of course not.  We HAD to go to Trader Joe’s because I HAD to have their coconut Greek yogurt.  Trader’s is about 25 minutes away so we detoured for breakfast and then off we went.

True to form, it snowed.  Traffic was stupid.  But I had my eye on the price.  Coconut Greek YOGURT!

The snow  didn’t really look like a big deal.

image

After all, TJ’s had what I needed.

This is a really fun place to shop.  You get free coffee and can taste samples of yummy food, they’ve got a great selection of cards for A DOLLAR and the cashier’s wear Hawaiian shirts – ALL YEAR ROUND!)  The walls are decorated with fun, colorful pictures and it’s just a very cheerful shopping experience..  (Here’s where the VW comes in.)

This is the pic that makes me smile.

One if by land…

image

(But if you’re into canoes…)

And two if by sea (or river, or lake, or…)

image

So I grab up some coconut yogurt ( and mangoes and blackberries, sliced italian bread and chocolate covered raisins – all the essentials) then home again home again, jigging jig.

image

Traffic seems to have died down.  I suppose yogurt is not a priority with some folks.

CEE’S WHICH WAY PHOTO CHALLENGE 2014 – #16

Follow the sign to the mellow, yellow walk in the park.  A relaxing stroll to recharge the soul. This is autumn in Knight Park, right around the corner from our house.  Not too shabby. 😉

CEE’S WHICH WAY PHOTO CHALLENGE 2014 – #15

I got caught up in a maze
Of anticipation,
Gratitude,
Happiness,
Love,
And mindfulness.
I got trapped in a maze
And I hope I never find the way out.

It’s morning.
You open your eyes.
You can choose happy, grateful, motivated.
Or you could choose sad, sorrowful, and uninspired.
Which way are you headed?

Rise to the occasion.

CEE’S WHICH WAY PHOTO CHALLENGE -2014 WEEK #14

‘Let’s take a walk in the forest,” he saidimage

“I think these are called ‘woods’,” I replied.
image
“Forest,” he said. “Just follow me.”
image
“What if we get lost?” I asked.

image
“We won’t,” he responded. “I’ll keep you safe. Just follow me.”
image

“The leaves are falling like multi-colored snow,” I said as I followed obediently.
image
“Snow is white, and comes in the winter. It’s autumn now. But the leaves are really pretty,” he said, turning to see if I was falling behind.
image
“Are we almost out of the woods?” I asked a little concerned.
image
“Forest,” he said. “It won’t be long. Just follow me.”

CEE’S WHICH WAY CHALLENGE – 2014 #12

I headed into the trees, down the brown, leafy path. Enveloped in overgrown greenery. Bumps and stumps jumping out in front of me along the narrow trail.  My intention, to escape.  To find solitude in the depths of the woods.  To find peace in the whisper of the leaves and the skittering of the  squirrels. At least I hoped it was squirrels.  It wasn’t long before I saw him. Encircled in sun light. He beaconed to me. “Come closer,” I thought I heard him say.  “This way.” I’m sure that’s what I heard.

Do you see him? Can you feel him?  He was there.  I swear.

“There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting” Buddha

Sometimes making a choice between right and wrong or truth and lie can be a rough one to make. Look at it like the proverbial fork in the road. Both choices will get you there. But one will produce better results. You know what to do. Which way?

CEE’S WHICH WAY CHALLENGE – WEEK 8 – A WALK IN THE PARK

BARCLAY FARMSTEAD, CHERRY HILL NEW JERSEY

map of the woods

Last week was my first back to my ‘job’.  I am the caregiver for two bright, adorable, charming, rascals five days a week.  Since school hadn’t started yet, and since the weather is holding out – for now – we made a unanimous decision to walk to the park – so we could walk the park.  I can’t resist letting you in on a snippet of our conversation.  If this doesn’t make you smile, then I don’t know what will.  It went something like this…

Me:  Stop at the corner and wait for me, please.

Brother #1:  We need to stop, look, and listen.

Me:  Exactly.

Brother #1:  We need to not touch the wires (electrical wires that, in some cases, are brought down to the lawns and bolted in somehow – why on the ground I don’t know.)

Me:  You are absolutely right!  Why do you think that is?

Brother #1:  Momma says it’s because you’ll get dead.

Me: (smiling) And we wouldn’t want to get dead, would we?

Younger Brother: And because they are full of ‘lectrical kermits!

OK.  Do I have a great job or what?

OUR WALK

Decisions. Which way? They went right. I went left.

Decisions. Which way? They went right. I went left.

We are getting near the end of the path.  We talked about getting lost and what we would do if that happened.  Brother #1 was  not concerned.  Younger brother had found a very long stick.  Apparently, and according to Brother #1, it was a GPS stick.

The GPS Stick will guide us safely through the woods. Step back, Garmin!

The GPS Stick will guide us safely through the woods. Step back, Garmin!

It got us around and through and over and back.  We had the best time walking the woods in the park.  I hope you enjoyed a little of my day.  I know I do.  Every day!  How lucky am I? 🙂

CEE’S WHICH WAY CHALLENGE – WEEK 7

ww bridge 2

Been to PA recently.  There are a number of which ways to use from where I am to there I am.   Here’s a few shots of the in’s and out’s of Philadelphia, in response to Cee’s Which Way Challenge.   There may be a little bit of blur.  Tough taking shots without getting out of a moving vehicle!
