CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – BARK OR LEAVES

I’m low on bark but long on leaves while walking through the park nearby that is blanketed in red and gold.  Each step I take makes a crispy, crunching sound.  Like something out of a horror movie. I even scared myself! You know, like when you’re watching something spooky, and you’re shouting to the TV.   “Don’t go in the basement!”  “Why would you follow the sound. RUN WHILE YOU CAN!” “DON’T OPEN THAT DOOR!”

Thank goodness it was so gorgeous or I might have had to turn around.  “NO! DONT LOOK BEHIND YOU!!!”

TRAVEL THEME – AUTUMN

“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.” ~ George Eliot

CEE’S WHICH WAY PHOTO CHALLENGE 2014 – #16

Follow the sign to the mellow, yellow walk in the park.  A relaxing stroll to recharge the soul. This is autumn in Knight Park, right around the corner from our house.  Not too shabby. 😉

CEE’S BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE – WATER – From a Drop to an Ocean

A visit from family. A trip to the Philadelphia Zoo. A fabulous, warm, autumn day. And a chocolate ice cream cone. These all made for an incredibly fun Saturday.
The bears have their own waterfall. If it were me living there, I’d be frolicking in that pool. It was toasty yesterday.
A look at the bear’s digs from the other side of the glass.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – HABIT

Autumn = cooler weather
Cooler weather = falling leaves
Falling leaves = piles of color
Piles of color =  attraction
Attraction = curiosity
Curiosity = children
Children, leaves, piles, color, attraction, curiosity = fun!

brown leaf pinecone

Kids have a habit of flailing themselves into autumn’s leafy beds of brilliantly colored leaves. Ahhhh! To be a kid again, if only for just a little while. Long enough to join in on the fun and rekindle the habit of total lack of inhibition.

When’s the last time you did this?

Thought I’d get this WordPress challenge in before they post a new one – TOMORROW!  Talk about under the wire!  Click on the icon for more on Habits.

TRAVEL THEME – BROWN

Monday through Friday, after stopping at my favorite Dunkin’ Donuts, I take a quick walk in order to pick my little 4 year old friend up from school.  He is a very inquisitive, interesting, and curious fella who points out a lot of what I photograph when we’re together.  Most of the time he wants to be in the picture.  Sometimes, not. I told him I needed ‘browns’ and we gathered these photos as a team.  I hope you enjoy our collaborated gallery of browns.

Please do stop over at Ailsa’s to take in a little more of the rich, beautiful browns she’s gathered from other bloggers.  Just click right here.

Thanks for the visit and stop on back.

WEEKLY IMAGE OF LIFE – SEASONS AND CHANGES

Every year I say I’m sorry summer’s over.  But truth be told, I love the changing of the seasons.  As I grow older, I prefer the warmth of the sun and the trips to the beach:  sitting, walking, people watching, spotting dolphins, reading in my beach chair, with warm breeze blowing, waves crashing … But truth be told, all seasons are a gift.

It’s all good 🙂
