CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – SEATING

Everyone, please.  Take your seats.

This week, Cee is asking for a selection of seatings.  I stuck close to home today with my collection, except for the last shot, which was taken at a mini-mall in Cape May, NJ.  It just looked like a comfortable place for someone, who’s not into malling, to sit and wait while the true shopper digs in.

Oh, and a special note to my friend Dawn, at Lingeringvisions.  Yes, darlin’, there is wine in them thar drawers :-).

Welcome to my humble home…

A quick click on the icon below will get you to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge.  There’s extra seating there.

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – THE SEASON OF SPRING

Little by little, it’s getting here.  Spring!  I can tell by the pinwheels on the lawn.  What?  Well I don’t know if this is an official sign of spring, but, when someone decides it’s time to put these colorful lawn decorations out, I’m guessing they’re telling us spring is just around the corner.  When I saw this a month ago, I was thrilled.  Spring!  Yahoo! Finally!

Now, which corner was it that spring was around?

Mother Nature needs to get with it!  She’s either sleeping on the job, or old man winter has her held captive.  The news people threatened us with frost last night, and told everyone to bring in their plants.  I don’t know who told them they make the rules, but I wore capris and a short-sleeved t-shirt today (and a soft, warm sweatshirt over the top of it all).  Yes. I’m stubborn.

Just down the street from this house is a business district that also welcomes the season in with giant flower pots, painted by local artists.  They’ve been doing this for some time now, so the pots are a bit worst for wear, but still – SPRING!  There were too many for one gallery, so bear with me. I posted two. 😀

And…

I hope you’re enjoying your spring, if spring is what you’re having.  If not, I hope this brought a little sunshine into your day.  Please click on the icon below and stop over at Cee’s blog for a look at more of the spring season.

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – SIGNS (OF VARIOUS KINDS)

Today, while my two young charges were attending reading hour at the Cherry Hill Library, I skulked out onto the floor to capture a few signs hawking books.  What better sign can you find!

Take note of the Elephant and Piggie sign.  If you have small children or grandchildren, go to your local library and pick one or more of these up.  They are hysterical and adorable.  Oh, by Mo Willems (no I didn’t leave out the ‘i” and mistype the “a”.  It really is  Willems.:-). )

And, speaking of my charges, this little guy is wearing a sign as well.

signs bugs

I had to include the cute little pouty lips.

Since we had a torrential downpour this morning, I put my bike ride off til I got home.  I didn’t really overwhelm you with too many fun fotos up top, so I thought I’d take my camera on my ride and point and click in the park.  I was amazed at the number of signs I came across.  These are just some.

hydrant

This is actually the second stop sign on my route.  I thought the hydrant gave it a little more class. 🙂

Then comes the stop sign warning – telling you that a stop sign is up ahead.  HUH? (if you look way down the road a piece, you’ll see the actual stop sign this sign is referring to.  WHAT?

One Way

Believe it or not, there was another Do Not Enter sign to the right.  Can you say Overkill?

Slow Down!

Slow Down!

This sign is suppose to register your speed.  I guess I wasnt’ going all that fast.  I’m working on it!

A little retro here.  And there really is a pay phone under this sign.  It’s seen better days, but it works!

Do you think they want you to stay out?

A few more rules and regs before leaving the park.  And none too soon.  This was a sign that it was time for me to go home!!!!

Rocky Raccoon

Rocky Raccoon

This one’s a little blurry and understandably so.  I was shaking in my boots when I shot this.  I’m a little leery of these guys.  It all started back in 1970, in the San Fransisco Bay area.  But that’s another story for another day.

Please click on the cute little critter below to see other entries @ Ceephotography.comThis guy doesn’t freak me out – as much. 🙂

CEES’ FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – BRIDGES

Cee, @ ceephotography.com has presented yet another challenge. Bridges.  I’m afraid I’ve posted most of my bridges.   So I guess I’m not rising to the occasion  and I need to do more pointing and clicking  and maybe the next time some says “bridges” I’ll be ready.  But for now, here’s what’s left of my bridge crossings.   Maybe less is more.  🙂

Since I don’t have enough bridge shots to fill a thimble, maybe you could stop by Cee’s to get a look at what others have to share.  Thanks.  And thanks for stopping by, browsing, liking, and commenting.  As has been the custom, click on the cute little icon below and you’ll be on your way to Cee’s.

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – WHICH WAY – STAIRS AND STEPS

We’ve been challenged with stairs and steps this week and Cee @ ceephotography.com has definitely stepped it up with this theme.  I’m way behind with posting and picturing, so I’ll just get on with it.  Sit back and relax.   No climbing necessary.

The last shot was some of what Hurricane Sandy destroyed.  Sadly, there is still a lot of work to be done.   When the stairs are replaced, I’ll be sure to get a shot of them.  Meanwhile, click on the icon below to visit Cee’s blog and check out more interesting stair/step photos.

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE: WHICH WAY – FEATURING ROADS

It always thrills me to see a new challenge pop up in my inbox.  I’m one of those people that needs a nudge and that’s what these things do for me.  Aside from the fact that I get to browse and visit other blogs which gives me the opportunity to live and learn, I get the push I need to get out there and broaden my photographic horizons.   I have a lot of livin’ and a whole lot of learnin’ to do.  Apparently I don’t take too many road pictures, so there’s work to be done.  In the meantime…

OK.  So the road at the shore is missing, but it’s there.  I promise.  Under all the rain that fell not too long ago.  And my husband took that shot.  Also, the last photo of our house, well, I have to give my son credit for that shot.  See what I mean.  Work to be done.

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – TEXTURES

Textures.  Cee’s challenge this week.  I chose  soft, bumpy, rough, lacey, pinchy, velvety, smooth, and one that I just can’t really label.  Maybe you have a label for it.

I hope someone can tell me what they think that mushroomy thingy texture might be.  I didn’t touch it, so I’m not sure.  Don’t waste too much time guessing ’cause you need to head on over to Cee‘s blog by clicking on the cute little critter below.  You’ll see more on “Textures” and some fabulous fotography. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by.  I am happy with every comment or like.  It pleases me if you even just browse and find anything interesting.  So stop back, OK?

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – LINES

When I think “lines”, I think straight lines.  After debating a while, I decided I would go with “straight” because if I didn’t, I’d be too tempted to annoy you with more of my doodling.   So  here, for the most part, you will find my interpretation of “lines” for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week.

Many thanks to Cee @ ceephotography.com for hosting this posting.  You can see more entries to her challenge by clicking on the cute little critter below.

To all who’ve made their way here, my thanks.   I appreciate all your comments, likes, and visits.  Blogging wouldn’t be the same without you. 🙂

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – CIRCLES AND CURVES

As you may (or may not) have noticed, I made an attempt at doodling in an earlier post. I thought it was reasonably acceptable for a first attempt.  I started out on paper and branched out to a clay flower pot.  Between the circular curvature of the pot, and the swirls and curls of the mighty pen, I think the new doodle might qualify for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge.   I’m taking a shot.

The wine glass has a little curve of its own.  🙂

Thanks for stopping by, liking, commenting, and browsing.  I hope you’ll drop off at Cee’s for more cirlces and curves.
