CEE’S WHICH WAY CHALLENGE – 2015 WEEK #18

Whether shopping in New Hope, PA, or trolling the beaches of NJ, or just taking a neighborhood stroll, the thing to remember is to enjoy the moment.  I’ve been so wrapped up in keeping up, that I wasn’t enjoying what I was doing, reading, posting, etc.  I’m here when I’m here.  I’ve figured out that ‘breathing’ is essential to living in the moment.  I’m not ignoring you. I SWEAR.  I’ll get there when I get there, and when I do I will ‘like’, no I will LOVE you, but til then I’ll take the road less traveled and breathe.

THURSDAY’S DOORS – APRIL 23, 2015

A walk in the park.  A old, wooden shack.  A moldy, old door. A few daffodils and a sunny spring day (and I do appreciate that).

Spring is really trying to be in the air.  It’s 48 degrees right now.  It’ll need to try a little harder.

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – COLORFUL MONOCHROMES

I’ve never been know to be ‘colorful’, except for maybe my language at times.  I’m more of an earth-tone kinda girl.  So these are what I was attracted to: browns, greys (or is it grays?), and reds.

Welcome to my interpretation of ‘colorful’.

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – WHICH WAY – STAIRS AND STEPS

We’ve been challenged with stairs and steps this week and Cee @ ceephotography.com has definitely stepped it up with this theme.  I’m way behind with posting and picturing, so I’ll just get on with it.  Sit back and relax.   No climbing necessary.

The last shot was some of what Hurricane Sandy destroyed.  Sadly, there is still a lot of work to be done.   When the stairs are replaced, I’ll be sure to get a shot of them.  Meanwhile, click on the icon below to visit Cee’s blog and check out more interesting stair/step photos.

TRAVEL THEME – FESTIVE

mall tree

During this festive of all occasions, two neighbors have a friendly rivalry concerning Christmas decor and who can display more.  Each year, for as long as I can remember, they have added to the light display on their lawns, one trying to outdo the other.  It’s all in fun, but I can’t help thinking “what about the electric bill!”  I suppose the priority here is fun, and bringing joy to the hundreds of families, especially the children, that drive down this brightly lit street each December.  It’s my understanding they start working on their displays in October!  I can’t even THINK about Christmas while I’m handing out Halloween candy, but hey!  To each his own.

To all of you, from all of us, have a very festive holiday.  Enjoy the lights!
