Coffee.

ENOUGH SAID

ENOUGH SAID

OK?

What was your favorite toy as a child . . . and now?

Tiny Tears.   I played with her til her arm broke off. Then I cried for a long time. She was real to me.

And now? I’d have to say my iphone and ipad, my pens and sketch pads. Not necessarily in that order.
Candy factories of the entire world have become one and will now be making only one kind of candy. Which kind, if you were calling the shots?

I’m with Cee.  Dark chocolate.  Preferably stuffed into an M&M shell

Would you want $100,000 right now or $120,000 in a year (tax Free)?

$100,000 NOW.  I could use the money at present.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am struggled with gratitude this week, I’m ashamed to say.  But I’m not giving up. I just need to regroup, adjust my thinking, keep calm, and carry on.

CEE’S ODD BALL CHALLENGE – WEEK 40

These are a few of the photos I figure fit the category.  Not too many posts they’d belong in, but Cee gives us a challenge where they can be displayed.  Some are cute, some are funny, some are just all about me.  And isn’t that what matters? 😉

Sit back, scroll, and smile. 😄

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – GOOD MORNING

DD coffeeFriday morning, I walked into my favorite Dunkin’ Donuts shop for my much needed cup of coffee, like I do Monday through Friday.   I don’t need to order because they remember – medium black coffee, please.  I sit at the recently wiped table with my iPad and my java, and go about reading, commenting, and firing off posts.  Imagine how excited I was when I saw the WordPress challenge for this week – Good Morning.  I say this because this place is – five days a  week – the start of my “good morning”.

On this particular morning this particular coffee shop was being evaluated.  Well, I couldn’t let this opportunity go by.  I am always telling my family and friends, what a clean, friendly, comfortable environment the DD on route 70 has. Rekta is ready and waiting with a smile on her face and my coffee on the counter before I even get half way across the floor.  Raj, the manager, is constantly making sure things are clean and presentable to the influx of customers.  I sit, drink, blog, and watch for an hour 5 days a week.  This is the place to go for a great cup of coffee, a latte, muffins, and whatever all else you might want to devour, all in a clean and relaxing environment.  They are a part of my Good Mornings and I want people to know it.  So I hunted down the men doing the inspection and let them have it.  I raved about and applauded this place and the staff and told them I would blog about it.  I wanted to say something good, and positive, and kind and I wanted the proper people to hear it.  They seemed pleased.  I know I was.

The day before inspection, I took these shots.  DD’s  (201 Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, NJ)  was decorated from ceiling to floor – from wall to wall.  I’ve been going here for about 8 months now, and I gotta tell ya, these people are just as sweet as their frosted donuts!

The Staff – not everyone was there this day, but everyone is friendly and they all help make my morning good.

TRAVEL THEME: CIRCLES

Today we made a quick trip uptown to grab a book at the library and were pleasantly surprised that the parking meters were in the ‘off’ position  – a holiday gift that the town bestows on us each year.  We had forgotten about this little treat, so since there was no hurry to relinquish the space, we decided to cruise the avenue.

Our first stop was the local Christmas tree shop.  I searched for circles, this week’s theme hosted by Ailsa at wheresmybackpack, but it appears circles are in not a big thing when it comes to browsing through Scotch Pines.  I snapped a pic of this decorative cabbage and, after sniffing a spruce or two, we moved on.

Our next stop was the Sweet Shop.  I did a little better there.  We found cookies and candy and some circular boxes filled with all kinds of gummies.  The strip on the wall – does anyone remember those?

I’m a sucker for a giant lollipop!

(Ugh! Sorry)

Next stop, the town’s newest shop, Blue Moon.  We stopped in for a taste, as was advertised in the Collingswood Patch, and we were not disappointed.  This place is oozing with olive oils that were vying for space with vinegarettes.  After a bit of taste-testing, we made off with a Chipotle Olive Oil and, my favorite, Fig Balsamic Vinegarette.

A little more strolling around town and then off for a cup of coffee and some giant, colorful cookies.

All in all a good day of circle searching.

With all the hustle and bustle and running in circles, while hunting down presents and mailing out cards, remember the meaning and don’t lose the feeling, spread kindness and love and lots of good cheer.  Be kind. Smile. Relax.  Breathe.
