THURSDAY’S DOORS – APRIL 16, 2015

Norm @ Miscellaneous Musings…  has challenged, sort of, me to post a door.  Jeff and I took a road trip to Valley Forge, PA and I posted this door in one of my few and far between posts.  It’s the one Norm liked for his challenge and I thank him for his appreciation of a good lookin’ door.  😉

BLUE DOOR INSIDE THE CHAPEL

BLUE DOOR INSIDE THE CHAPEL

But, since you might have seen that one, being loyal and avid fans of my blog – HUH? – here’s another bit of eye candy that we got a gander at while roaming the chapel.

DOOR NUMBER TWO :-)

DOOR NUMBER TWO 🙂

Now, here’s the tricky part.  Norm has some kind of link system thingy going on at his blog and I’m going to give it a try.  Being the technological dweeb of the century, and knowing very little of how these things work, I’m going to link you to Norm’s challenge right here, and then attempt to do the fancy linking thingy on his blog which is a blue button there and it will take you to my doors and the other submissions – hopefully.  If it doesn’t work, well then, I’m the idiot, but not for lack of trying.

Norm, you are also challenging my abilities! Here goes nothin’…

CEE’S ODD BALL CHALLENGE 2015 – WEEK 10

For 25 years I worked in an office. (Some of you might know this so hang in a minute…)  After a healthy dose of downsizing, I decided I’d go to college (natural progression, right?) After graduating, I went into teaching (a life long dream, and I’m getting to my point, I swear!)

I taught Developmental Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade.  So after retiring (here it comes) I knew I couldn’t take on a part time gig without having the words, “FUN” and “KIDS” and “PLAY” involved.  So now I ‘sit’ a little genius, and on no school day, his bro.

Sometimes, girls (and their charges) just wanna have fu-un. 😉

ZRobotMy buddy wanted to be a robot for the day.  Fun!

And, although this is a moving Odd Ball, still, fun, Fun, FUN!

CEE’S ODD BALL CHALLENGE – WEEK 40

These are a few of the photos I figure fit the category.  Not too many posts they’d belong in, but Cee gives us a challenge where they can be displayed.  Some are cute, some are funny, some are just all about me.  And isn’t that what matters? 😉

Sit back, scroll, and smile. 😄

CEE’S ODD BALL CHALLENGE

Igor: Dr. Frankenstein…
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: “Fronkensteen.”
Igor: You’re putting me on.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: No, it’s pronounced “Fronkensteen.”
Igor: Do you also say “Froaderick”?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: No… “Frederick.”
Igor: Well, why isn’t it “Froaderick Fronkensteen”?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: It isn’t; it’s “Frederick Fronkensteen.”
Igor: I see.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: You must be Igor.
[He pronounces it ee-gor]
Igor: No, it’s pronounced “eye-gor.”
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: But they told me it was “ee-gor.”
Igor: Well, they were wrong then, weren’t they?
If you haven’t seen Young Frankenstein with Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle and Madeline Kahn and Marty Feldman and Cloris Leachman and Gene Hackman and Teri Garr and a cast of thousands, you should give it a go. You’ll be in stitches (excuse the frankensteinish pun) from beginning to end.

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – SOFT PASTELS

You’re probably going to see a good amount of Halloween posts this month, but tis the season.  Yes. This time of year you can’t spin around twice without seeing a goblin, draped in Christmas lights, holding a turkey leg.  Yes. They have gone and mushed all three holidays together in the malls and department stores.  (Do they still call them department stores?) And YES. I’m doing Halloween.

Here’s my entry for a soft pastel witchy post.  Edits done in PicsArt.

HAPPY HANDS CREATE – OCTOBER – #1

Meghan @firebonnet has a brand new, fun challenge.  It’s all about putting your creative juices to work.  The only part your camera/iphone/smartphone has in this is to document something you’ve created by hand.   Its’ called – wait for it – #happyhandscreate.  LOVE IT!  I posted on Instagram (gemma013) but I thought it would be fun to put it out here as well.  I’m going to try to get the most outta myself.  Thanks for the push, Meghan.

Check out her blog  and get in on the action.

Here’s my first entry.  I am new at this Zentangling thing, so if you are a pro, or have any tips, please feel free to (kindly) help out.  I am all ears (and a little bit eyes, nose, and mouth.)  😉

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE – PATTERNS

Imagination

Patterns made of sticks and stones

Have fun creating

My friend and I played with sticks and stones and he came up with part of the alphabet.  I guess maybe that’s a stretch – to call these patterns…

But then we fooled around with it a little and made these out of those…

Now, those are patterns.

After play, of course, there’s always a snack, so this…

Z a snack

Became this…

Z a snack pattern

The mind of a child – or two  😉

Stop over and see Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge by clicking on the icon below.  And don’t forget to have fun – with patterns, life, children, snacks … 😉
