WELCOME TO MY WORLD

 

Cee and Chris collaborated to come up with this week’s questions. So here it goes…

1. What is your most favorite smell?

Well, pretty much outdoors – and roses. (That narrows it down, huh?)

2. How do you write: computer, longhand, other?

A lot of computer and handwriting for journaling.

3. Your favorite blog post that you have written?

I really like them all (she said, modestly) but this is one of my favorites:

4. What’s your favorites book from childhood?

My parents didn’t speak English when they came to America, so they didn’t read to me. The only reading material I remember being in our house was Il Progresso, the Italian newspaper they were able to procure in our Italian neighborhood. So, for this, I have no answer.

What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to this week coming up?

Actually, I’m very grateful that I’ve been able to make some time for myself so that I could get back into posting on my blog. I missed it. And this week I’m looking forward to getting our taxes DONE AND OVER WITH!!!

SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2014 WEEK 11

It’s been a while, but I’m back to share. Yay! You say? Of course. How could you not. Sharing is the most fun. Take a look, then you share, too. Come on. Whaddayasay?

Question número uno:

If you were an ice cream cone, how many scoops and favors would you be and why?

~ 3. Butter pecan, mint chocolate chip, and blueberry – because those are my favorites and they are delicious and because 3 is a nice round(ed) number.

Question number 2:

Are you left or right handed?

~ right.

Question #3

Before you make a phone call, do you rehearse what you’re going to say?

~ yes – we’ve discussed insecurities before. So that’s that.

And D:

How many rings before you answer the phone?

~ like Cee! I don’t. It goes to the recorder. I’m not big on phone conversation and there’s that introvert thing. So that’s THAT!

Bonus question:

What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

~ I’m grateful my mom’s doing better.
~ I will be grateful if this continues.

SISTERHOOD OF THE WORLD AND WORDPRESS FAMILY BLOG AWARD

I’ll be honest.  I don’t do awards anymore.  Not that I don’t love the nomination and the recognition.  Heck!  Who doesn’t like accolades?  I’m all about being validated – if you know anything at all about me, you know I could stand a Dale Carnegie refresher.  (Yes I did participate in one of Mr C.’s courses and came out at the top of my class, but that’s another story).

Thing is, I just feel a little uncomfortable passing it on, so I will do the questions, shout out a HUGE THANK YOU to my blogger buddy, Cee at ceenphotography.com (this is a blog you DON’T want to miss) and offer anyone that crosses my path to participate and scoop up the award if you feel so inclined.

And here are the questions, with my candid reponses.

1.  Your favorite color?  Green in all it’s shades and glory 

2.  Your favorite animal?  I love my dog, but I’d have to say my favorite?  Horse.

3.  Your favorite non-alcoholic drink?  Flavored seltzer. Orange/Vanilla and then grapefruit to be precise.

4.  Facebook or Twitter?  Accounts on both but almost never use them.  So neither.

5.  Your favorite pattern?  Not a pattern kinda girl.  Is tie-dyed a pattern?

6.  Do you prefer getting or giving presents? That’s honestly a toss up.

7.  Your favorite number?  13

8.  Your favorite day of the week?  Friday.  It’s just an “ahhhhhhh” day.

9.  Your favorite flower?  Never gave it a thought, but I suppose I’d have to say rose, since I’ve got a rose tattoo on my right ankle.

10. What is your passion?  I like an awful lot of things, but I’ve never been passionate about anything for very long.  Sad, huh?

So that’s it.  I know.  I’m vague.  I don’t follow the rules.   And I’m a little dull, now that I read this over.  But rules and such aside, I want to thank Cee, again, for thinking enough of me to throw me into the mix for the nomination.  Visit her, please, you won’t be disappointed.
