TIME OUT FOR ART – MARCH 26 2015

Some of you may have noticed, I’ve taken up Tangling.  Zentangle is a fabulous, relaxing, confidence building pass time.  I was just reading a post by my amiga, Lisa, at Zeebra Design’s & Destinations.  And it’s true.  There’s always time for art.  If you have 10 minutes, you can draw or paint or start SOMETHING!  It’s calming.  It’s productive.  It’s FUN.

Here’s some of my art.  I never felt like I could really, REALLY draw, but I can.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – ADVENTURE

Fishing off of one of these beauties would be a dream come true.  I’ve fished off the shore.  I’ve cast my line from a dinky dingy.  And a  small charter boat has even seen the likes of me.  Heck! I’ve even reeled in a flounder that made it to the kitchen table. But this would be the ultimate fishing adventure for this girl.

TRAVEL THEME – (ON) EDGE

It seems Ailsa’s theme this week has me going in a different direction. Surprise! Like I haven’t veered off the beaten path before.

The word ‘edge’ brings out more of a feeling to me.  Maybe it’s just me, or the way things have developed lately.   I’m thinking more in terms of a physical sensation. Something is creating this emotion in me that’s got me feeling ‘on edge’.   A tension. A nervous feeling, like teetering on the edge of a cliff, or on the brink of – what? – disaster?

Let’s hope not. Let’s hope it’s really more a feeling of anticipation. Of the wonders of things to come.

While perusing Instagram today, I came across this on #thegoodquote.  Kind of takes the edge off.  🙂

This reminds me of a friend of mine.  She’s a children’s author.  A writer.  She writes every day.  Whether there are ideas or no ideas, she writes.  She doesn’t wait for inspiration.

Sometimes you just have to go for it. The ideas will come.
