After the week we’ve had here, nothing would make me happier than to be sitting on one of these, iced tea in one hand, a good book in the other. Come ooooooon summer!
“D” is for DECK
Our little deck at our little house at the Jersey Shore.
Our deck here at home.
Either will do nicely.

It always thrills me to see a new challenge pop up in my inbox. I’m one of those people that needs a nudge and that’s what these things do for me. Aside from the fact that I get to browse and visit other blogs which gives me the opportunity to live and learn, I get the push I need to get out there and broaden my photographic horizons. I have a lot of livin’ and a whole lot of learnin’ to do. Apparently I don’t take too many road pictures, so there’s work to be done. In the meantime…
Heading out on the road from my driveway
Road to my fun job, and yes that’s my car
Railroad station – Valley Forge PA
Tracks leading nowhere in front of Philadelphia Photo Arts Center
Country Road – back road heading to the Jersey Shore
Road in front of our shore house after a nasty storm
Main road in my town
My road, my house
Road to Edisto, SC
OK. So the road at the shore is missing, but it’s there. I promise. Under all the rain that fell not too long ago. And my husband took that shot. Also, the last photo of our house, well, I have to give my son credit for that shot. See what I mean. Work to be done.

Living in New Jersey can be a challenge in itself. From soaring taxes that can rival the heights of Mt. Everest, to blazing hot, humid summers that have you begging for an arctic blast. But you can’t beat Jersey’s changing seasons. Nature at it’s best. Most certainly some of God’s best work.
Thanks for stopping by, liking, commenting, browsing. I appreciate every click of the mouse, every tap on the keys, every smart phone visit. I don’t always say so, but the intent is there. Blogging. Dang! If only there were 48 hours in the day.

Sitting pretty - looking down from the sea wall
Word Press is handing down the challenge. They will suggest a topic once a week. The challenge is to post a blog and a picture with an interpretation of that topic. This week’s topic is DOWN. The key word, as I’m understanding it is ‘interpretation’ so here it goes…
If you’re from Jersey, specifically, outside of Newark where I was born, the word DOWN meant one thing: Down the shore. When I was a kid growing up, getting to the shore was tantamount to getting to the moon. Fuhgetaboutit!
That was 50 years ago.
I’m making up for it now. I went and got me a place down the shore. I’m livin’ in the space age, baby and shooting for the moon. Now I’m down the shore every chance I get and lovin’ it.
Live the dream.
