SHARE YOUR WORLD – WEEK 45

OK.  So I haven’t shared 45 weeks in a row.  Maybe there’s not that much to tell.  (Or maybe I just can’t keep up)  In any event, I’m sharing today, so, welcome to my (Cee’s) Share Your World.

What is your favorite color?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, Time out for lunch with a very dear friend… and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  Nothing planned.  Dull?  Maybe, but it leaves me open for surprises.

SUNDAY POST – A PLACE TO RELAX

Apparently several family members have different ideas about how and where to relax.
Phoenix, our feline, prefers my jacket and the couch.

Rocky, our shepherd, thinks my yoga mat is the way to go.

Jeff swears we will retire to South Carolina and Fripp Island is the place that convinced him of this.  Soooooo relaxing.

And, after a week’s stay in the hospital with double pneumonia, the flu, and congestive heart failure, my mom has found her niche in our home.  This is her new place to relax. Thankfully, she is doing a little better every day. This is momma in her sanctuary.

Now I need a place for me to relax!

THURSDAY LINGERING LOOK AT WINDOWS – WEEK 47

I know I haven’t done 47 weeks of windows – I wish I had – it’s just that there are all these interesting blogs and I insist on reading them.  I feel like, well, I want to do both. Read and post.  I’ve never been a fast reader, and I’ve always got something to comment on (can you say Downfall?) So I do more reading and commenting than posting.  But that’s OK, I suppose.  I’m enjoying myself, either way.  You guys are all just too dang good!  That’s the problem! (Notice how I kind of put the blame on you.)

But Christmas makes for some good windows, so I thought I’d try to get it together and show you a few of ours.

HAVE A HOLLY JOLLY HOLIDAY, ALL.

OK.  That last one has a kind of door/window thing going on, but I like the color.

To all, have a safe, peace-filled holiday season, from our home to yours.

TRAVEL THEME – CONTRAST

Ridiculous, I know.  But I couldn’t resist.  When I saw this I had to have a shot of it.  Even on a bad day, he makes me laugh.  I find it interesting the way his cigar, hat, glasses, and boots contrast the rest of him and his “lounge chair”.

But then I think, he looks so pleased with his situation.   Comfortable, rested, settled.  In no hurry to get anywhere, do anything.  Harmless.

In contrast with the way the world looks to me today.  Sometimes the smile he brings to me is accompanied by a tear.

Click on the link and see what other’s have to say about “contrast” @ where’s my backpack.  Thanks for hosting Ailsa.

And thanks to all of you for stopping by.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – LOST IN THE DETAILS

I’ve become intrigued by the art of doodling.  So yesterday, before opening my email, I began doing a bit of doodling of my own.  Fearing I’d get sloppy after a half hour of pen to paper, I stopped to check my email.  It struck me as coincidental that the challenge for this week was titled “Lost in the Details.”  Peace – Lost in the Details.

It’s my first attempt at this doodling thing.  I found it quite relaxing and engaging.  You should try it.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – CREATE

This was a dual effort CREATE my first graders and I put together to honor American soldiers.  The kids put a lot of thought into this poster, so I am going to super-size it.  Still, you may have to zoom in to get a good look, but it’s worth the effort.  They did a magnificent job cutting out all the flowers and CREATing the cards with their messages. I hope you enjoy looking at it half as much as we did putting it together.
