CEE’S WHICH WAY CHALLENGE – WEEK 7

ww bridge 2

Been to PA recently.  There are a number of which ways to use from where I am to there I am.   Here’s a few shots of the in’s and out’s of Philadelphia, in response to Cee’s Which Way Challenge.   There may be a little bit of blur.  Tough taking shots without getting out of a moving vehicle!

CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE: WHICH WAY – FEATURING ROADS

It always thrills me to see a new challenge pop up in my inbox.  I’m one of those people that needs a nudge and that’s what these things do for me.  Aside from the fact that I get to browse and visit other blogs which gives me the opportunity to live and learn, I get the push I need to get out there and broaden my photographic horizons.   I have a lot of livin’ and a whole lot of learnin’ to do.  Apparently I don’t take too many road pictures, so there’s work to be done.  In the meantime…

OK.  So the road at the shore is missing, but it’s there.  I promise.  Under all the rain that fell not too long ago.  And my husband took that shot.  Also, the last photo of our house, well, I have to give my son credit for that shot.  See what I mean.  Work to be done.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – URBAN

PHILADELPHIA, PA

Philadelphia skyline

Rocky Balboa – Outside of The Museum of Modern Art

The next three photos grabbed my attention while driving the streets of Philly.

The following were taken by my son during one of his visits New York City.  I think he has a great eye for the art of photoplay. But then, I’m biased :-).

And last, but most certainly not least, my son’s gorgeous girlfriend having a little fun in the city.

TRAVEL THEME: SIGNS

Jeff and I went to Philadelphia today to join in a rally for Solidarity.  There were plenty of signs there – more than I could capture.  Unions from all around came to stand together to support the 2nd Bill of Rights.  (click to read more about these rights)

Here are some of the signs that were displayed.

WORKERS STAND FOR AMERICA – Music from Yankee Doodle Dandy to God Bless America

One of the amendments

Signs, signs, everywhere there’s signs

Some ‘workers’ were more enthusiastic 🙂

Some signs floated overhead

Jeff got in on the action – supporting Local 351, of which he is a member

We don’t all have to believe in the same things, and we don’t all have to agree, but we all have a say.  We had our say today.

When we drove away from the rally, we came across this sign.  I wish we could have stopped, but the traffic wouldn’t allow it and parking was non-existent.  So while we were stopped at a red light, I quickly tried to capture this sign the best I could.

Thanks to Ailsa for, again, presenting us with a weekly challenge.  Stop by her blog, wheresmybackpack? to read a few more signs.
