CEE’S BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE – GEOMETRIC SHAPES

Watching kids has its advantages.  You get to play with toys.  And, you get lots of photo ops.  This is some kind of light up block thingy that is very cool in color.  But since this is black and white, I will save the color pic for another post.  My little buddy said we should shut the lights and take a pic.  Ok.  So the ideas are not always mine.  He just happened to make this brilliant suggestion on the day that Cee posted this challenge. (I’m just a day late and a dollar short with the post, as usual.) This is the B&W version (or as my little buddy says, “virgin”.  (He keeps me in giggles.) image And this is a bowl of kiwi and one loan apple.  Time for a supermarket road trip! image This had a little Tooncamera app enhancement. (Thanks for the turn on to the app, Allan.)

CEE’S BLACK AND WHITE CHALLENGE – TOYS FOR KIDS OR ADULTS

TOYS – For kids AND adults. Welcome to our brave new world. Where a five year old shows me how to call up the remote for his tv on his kindle. Where I sit in the a.m. with coffee in one hand, iPad in the other. Where Instagram and #100happydays meets #foundmomo. Where my little buddy taps and clicks to view Ironman, Batman, Spider-Man and more. Where I peruse blogs and try to improve my Words with Friends skills. One of today’s “toys” in B&W.

THANKS FOR THE VISIT.

TRAVEL THEME – SHORT

Ailsa’s Travel Theme Challenge – SHORT

HAVE NO FEAR.

There’s a new fire chief in town.  He’s brave.  He’s bright.  He’s ready  for action.  There’s no better man – ah – boy –  for the job.  In this case, size doesn’t matter.

Z fire chief 2

My little (short?) friend and I delivered some much needed wrapping paper, tape, and ribbon to the Fire House yesterday.  They are looking for toys and gift wrapping for less fortunate children in the area.  People of Collingswood unite!  Grab an extra roll of wrap, a box of Legos, or a stuffed animal.  Whatever floats your boat.  But hop to it  Christmas is just around the bend.

The fireman on duty was kind enough to let my buddy sit in the fire truck and gave him a fire chief hat.  Look at the smile it brought to his face.  Imagine the smile you could bring to a child’s face this holiday season. If you’re not in this area, look into what’s needed in your town.  It’ll bring a smile to your face too!

Thanks for the visit and let me be one of the first to say have some safe and happy holidays.

TRAVEL THEME – MULTICOLORED

When you work (hang out) with a four year old, 5 days a week, you are bound to run into a little splash of color. And you get to play – A LOT!

See…

I spotted the Bella balloon and couldn’t resist, since that was the alternate name I chose for one of Cee’s Share Your World questions this week.

And the last is a plug for The Garden State – why I don’t know since our taxes exceed most other states. Maybe if I advertise NJ enough, our illustrious governor will cut back a little. Ah. No. Probably not.

TRAVEL THEME – PLAY

Some people – kids in particular but not always – play.  Well, there is play, and there is PLAY!

My little friend is very serious about his building blocks.  So much so that he has named every piece and, along with his brother, builds by calling for the proper building block, while his brother hunts and pecks and delivers.  In the end, a fabulous structure, which is usually referred to as a hotel. 🙂   These two don’t fool around when they PLAY!

And, in the end, when the building is completed, we wave goodbye and drift on to the next excellent PLAY adventure.
